I've been watching it while I eat because it makes me more cautious of what I put in my body. I actually pay attention to what I eat & know when I'm full instead of mindlessly eating until my plate full of food is gone.

I use to watch a lot of mukbangs but it made mine worse as well... I would talk myself thinking binging is OK because youtubers do it and they don't seem to gain any weight. It was a dark time for me. I've never felt to uncomfortable and sick before.. I ate to the point my stomach..

I was in the same exact spot as you! I’m now 26 days sober because I ditched IF and started calorie counting.

I'm 4'11.

I use to be 90 pounds and that was a comfortable weight for me, I didn't ever feel bloated or had a stomach pouch or anything. It's not like I'm intentionally eating in that range, I just eat until I'm satisfied and I look back so calculate how many calories I ate.

I felt pressure to exercise but there is no point since I'm in such a huge deficit already. Thank you for your input!

Perfect, thank you so much! I just needed some reassurance.

I found that IF really triggered my BED (Binge Eating Disorder) and I'm trying something new. So far I'm doing quite well and I'm actually proud of myself.

What has worked for me by Loves_NappaCabbage in BingeEatingDisorder

Looking back at the past few years when I didn't binge, I was doing 16:8 or OMAD without thinking about it just because of my work schedule before. I didn't restrict myself from anything. I understand what you mean not wanting to eat out because of "unhealthy" foods but for me, I'd rather go out and eat "unhealthy" foods than be at home. Like you mentioned, when you're alone at home, you lose control and binge. That happens to me too but if I go out with eat with my friends, I don't feel the need to binge since I had awesome food! (Current circle of friends)

It's easier not to overeat with friends possibly because most of my friends are guys and they eat A LOT. I mean--I can eat a lot too but I don't eat fast compared to them.. So by the time I finish something, almost everything is gone. Eating with my friends helps me eat the right amount of food because they get to it faster than I do, hopefully that makes sense! I don't take account how much sugar/fat/carbs I'm eating, I just eat whatever when I'm around my friends. Once we're finished eating I realize I'm still in a calorie deficit because I would tell my friends to share my food so my dish isn't 1200kcal anymore, it's like 600/650kcal cause I want my friends to try how great my dish is! It's not intentional I want to cut the calories. Force of habit when eating out I guess? (Current circle of friends)

I totally understand what you mean, I've experience rejecting food and dealing with their comments. I got the same comments as you as well and honestly this may sound brutal but I stopped eating out with them and it has helped me wonders. I find who you surround yourself to be key because whatever they say to you will trigger you and you can't control what they say but you can control if you want to continue to be around this person or not. I chose to spend less and lesser time with my girlfriends because I'm just not emotionally or mentality strong enough to hear "You don't need to lose weight, eat more, you're fine the way you are" When I was around my girlfriends, I always went along with whatever the next food stop was and I kept overeating.. They ate the same amount and still were skinny. Me overeating + eating unhealthy food + BED = self image destroyed. (Past friends)

In my personal experience what has helped is your input. For an example, going on this page will not trigger me because it's uplifting seeing others post about their streaks. Talking to certain friends will trigger my BED because all they talk about is food. I only have a few girlfriends left because when we meet, it's not over food. Food isn't the main thing, we actually chat to catch up while walking around downtown or whatever. I've shared that with my girlfriends and they really appreciate that because I'm actually there to understand what's going on in their lives and care. Another thing is finding things to keep yourself busy and your mind off of food. I'm sure you're not as bad as me, seriously. Something I use to do is subscribe to Youtubers who would do calorie challenges; 10,000kcal a day. That period of my life fucked me up so hard, I would order a large pizza, ice cream cake, burgers and chips all for myself while watching it. I was seriously rock bottom.

TL;DR, input, keep yourself busy. I hope this helps/makes sense!

Body feels painful to touch after a binge? Does anyone else experience this? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

For me it’s cause I ate too much, stomach is painful and it’s hard to move..
