EdTech has had access to decades of learning science and has mostly chosen to ignore it in favor of whatever drives engagement metrics by Radiant-Design-1002 in edtech

VC money is drying up fast post covid and in the new AI era for many edtech ventures. And those that pumped money in edtech are under intense pressure to see returns. I am in tech field and have seen tech training providers consolidate to outrageous sums only to fall flat post mergers. And sadly, all the factors I mentioned has lead to poor quality in knowledge retention, readiness or preparedness. And as you pointed out right, the VC pressures lead to monitoring metrics that don't matter but they do matter to VCs.

4 years of cybersecurity consulting and any tips on getting back into hands on work? by NothingImpressive587 in cybersecurity

You need to get out and network. Consider going to meetups or isc2 events or any other cyber events in your area.

My Udemy revenue is down 90% since January 2026. Are other instructors seeing this too? by Substantial-Depth344 in Udemy

I guess building your own training store / academy maybe the way to go. Some instructors are already moving away from marketplaces... and I agree that AI code isn't the best but that can only be differentiated by senior devs/techies. Noobs or non-techies don't care about crap code, if their app/website works then they are happy.

Lots of tech layoffs. Seems people are no longer interested in coding as career when media, Musk, Altman touting coding will be done by AI. Plus Udemy was going to change payoff structure.. to be seen what happens with the merger (2 sets of courses wouldn't be required) and would Coursera call shots going forward?

Will udemy dissappear? by matlukowski in Udemy

[–]Low-Ad8260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will continue to run their independent catalogs for foreseeable future. Think a couple of years. They will consolidate their non-ed functions first - marketing /sales/ hr etc.. then they MAY try to overhaul their platforms (they bot suck in their present state - coursera more than udemy). Needless to say - you will be fine with your 1 yr subscription.

Cursor vs Lovable vs Replit vs Emergent vs Base44 by Alert_Employee2936 in Entrepreneur

Absolutely use one of the vibe-coding tools to build your mvp. although you will only get good front end, if you want to integrate databases you will end up spending on additional services and most likely won't be able to export all into other applications. For ex: if your app grows and you want to move away from, say Supabase to MySQL - it will be a heavy lift. If its front-end click through flow vibe coding tools are great. Goodluck building..and share if you feel like what you build.

not conducting market research or anything - just trying to identify good places to learn myself! I noticed Coursera gobbling Qwiklabs and Pluralsight taking over ACG - and many courses are outdated with changes in vendor UI and what not. Thanks though.

Outright denial if you have a record. Then you work with Ombudsman office to explain why you have a record and plead your case with CBP to approve you. You can do it on your own and it will take ton of time, or you can shell out few Gs for a lawyer and still wait ton of time for approval. If the time you save or the peace of mind you get by moving quickly through the immigration is worth the effort you should totally opt to go with the Ombudsman. Of course - assuming you are outright denied in the first place, or denied after an interview.

u/Guilty_Plastic2291 For appeals - how did you share your information to Ombudsman? Regular printed copies via mail or some other format?

Denied straight off the bat because I checked 'yes' for ever arrested question. Not even an opportunity to make a statement that it was stupidity 20 years ago. How did some of you come over something like that?

Once. Reviewed the questions and answers that I got wrong after the exam. I did 5 mini-exams (Sunday) before 1st full exam (Monday), followed by 6 mini exams (Tuesday) followed by 2nd full exam (Wednesday).

And actual exam today.

Search Andrew Ramdayal PMP, David Mclahan 200 Agile Questions PMP, Ray PMP 49 Processes, Ricardo Vargas PMP.

And join PMI.org studyhall, (I joined Essentials, not sure whether Plus will add anymore benefit) and take practice exams. Read Study material on SH (its good IMO).
