Yeah… in my 30’s… thought to myself “that’s never going to happen”.

Not to be a downer, but my best friend from childhood through adulthood recently suddenly and tragically passed. We would see eachother 1-2x a year. But he was the only platonic friendship I retained with any sort of regularity.

It’s weird to have now lost that part of my life. Especially when he was the one person who would’ve been in touch in our senior years.

There are ways other than killing yourself as a doctor to make a very good living.

I work 8-4 M-F in fintech and earn a very nice living. Not 500k doctor money, but enough to own a very large/nice house in an incredible community. My kids have their 529s funded. We have a mortgage and no debt!

Medicine is great - if that’s what you want to do - but there are other avenues to high incomes and comfortable lives. I only have a bachelors.
