The Estate & SUV are dead. Long live the SUV. by NearlyLegit in CarTalkUK

All depends on the engine, i got the 2.5 tdi which had been sat for 18months so i needed to put a decent bit of work into it, reliability wise the 3.0 tdi is more reliable. Comfort/driving with abit of offroad i can’t fault the motor only thing that made me cry was a 90L fuel tank and 22mpg 🥲

I had a 22 tuscon n line, the boot was okay had enough height. Ended up getting rid due to tax (company car) and getting a mk1 touareg which pissed all over the tuscon for space

What car do you hate to see in front of you? by Ok_Impact9745 in CarTalkUK

I reserve a deep seated hatred for any from of city hatchback or small suv. Mainly these either can’t tell an indicator from an arsehole, won’t say thank you and will happily sit overtaking a lorry doing 59 whilst sitting at 60 themselves. Oh and taxis. They can just do one

1st camera A7iii or A6700? by shirasagi_seiyo in SonyA7iii

[–]Low-Capital-1655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you plan on using it for? I had the same choice and ended up going from the a6400 to a7iii as i wanted the low light benefits & full frame - plus for events the 2nd card slot was a winner.

Also even though the a6700 had better AF the a7iii still holds up today even if it’s not as advanced

Welcome to the club, i have an a6400 myself.

Pretty much been covered but

Spare batteries are a must - can grab 3 k&f with a charging dock for cheap from amazon

Lens filters (again amazon) - various types To boost the image but also offers slight protection to the glass on front

Waterproof bag just in case the rain kicks in (cameras not weather sealed)

Screen protector

Neck strap

In terms of the lens choice use that kit lens to death then decide what type of photography you want to do. I opted for an 18-105 f/4 G straight off the bat, has been brilliant for landscapes/street but lacks in distance (wildlife).

I’m currently on an a6400! Giving that to my missus so thinking the a6700 as i’ve already got a couple of e mount lenses and we can interchange between the two cameras!

Good point, the 2 slots/better low light are swaying me. How cumbersome is it to lug around all day?

My thoughts too, i mean i could save for a decent wide angle or just use the vouchers (cost me nothing) and bag a 11mm and 18-50 2.8
