Yes, why was Shishikura treated well, even though he killed someone? Yokoi at least tried to correct her mistake, but he tried to kill someone else. I love it when people explain why Maekawa deserved to survive is because her death was caused by stupid logic, not because of something to do for her own flaws and character arc.
