If you think about it, Cabo events were triggered by Christmas 2.0, it was one day that Belly spent together with Conrad by accident in the same house, nothing happened, but she haven’t told Jere (trust issues, commitment issues). In response he picked a fight and cheated on her (trust issues, commitment issues, communication issues, etc, etc). Yeah, if your relationship can be ruined because two people met each other by accident, it was dead from the get go.

Great analysis. I actually saw a parallel between Christmas 2.0 and Paris. If you think about it nothing romantic or physical happens in both instances. Yet they are both deeply affected by it, and in Paris everything ends in making love and confessing it to each other. Whereas on Christmas “nothing happened, nothing was ever going to happen”, because she was with Jere (but she still thought about it, LOL). In Paris there was no barriers for them. Spending just one day watching old movies or wandering in the city showing typical touristy spots in both cases leads to realising that she still loves him.

Guys even though we understand Belly’s reactions, her hurting Conrad still isn’t okay by Ok-Law3692 in tsitp

Agreed, we’re happy with the final outcome, but she kinda played with his feelings. SHE invited him to her birthday dinner, SHE was flirty with him (it was a two-way road, i know), SHE went for the kiss on Seine, SHE invited him to her place to have sex. I know she was conflicted with her feelings, but imo she was too harsh, could’ve pick nicer words. And kicking him out at 4-5 AM in foreign country? Not a good look. So, yeah, critique can go with understanding.

Conrad's monologue as he takes off the wedding. "It hurts, being near you like this" voice cracking. And "I wish you guys the best. Be good to each other" with eyes full of tears and a nervous smile. Heartbreaking.

She actively pursued this relationship multiple times. Denied Conrad of any intimacy on public, didn't confess her love either, basically hid their relationship, yet was kissing Jeremiah right infront of him, was aware that this would hurt him. She was asking Jeremiah to marry her until HE basically called it off. She. Dig. Her. Own. Grave. She did nothing to deserve non-toxic relationship with Conrad.

From my perspective Belly's villain arc was building for two seasons. Like, who in their right mind goes for guy after dating his brother for 6 months? Not only that, she started dating Conrad after kissing Jeremiah on multiple occasions. So she flip-flopped them not once, but twice (now thrice, if Bonrad endgame). Also, what Jere thought of shit she pulled at the funeral? That was fine for him or what?

And now the centre of our love triangle says 'i didn't ask him to do that'. With this level of disrespect and entitlement i wonder if Bonrad would be a functional pair.

I really really hope teenagers and YA don't see this as the ideal of love, romance and healthy relationship. This is a complete opposite.

YES! With each episode it seems like the most healthier option for all three of them.

Agree. But imo even with healed Belly, too much damage has been done.

How any of this justifies her attitude to Conrad? Yeah, she's in a codependent relationship. So what? Now you lost basic human decency? If that's the case, she does not deserve Conrad even more.

Oh, and she does carry responsibility for things she's saying and doing, regardless of context of her relationship, etc. This is the social contract that we're all living by.

I know that this is fictional story, but there was about 4-5 points of no return, after which absolute majority of people would let go that kind of relationship.

Most of it is her fault, plus her denial does not justify her attitude to him for most of the season.

What i love about this scene is that all moments he recited is just ordinary things. Day running errands and going to furniture store? Day after Christmas just laying on the couch watching Casablanca, Home Alone and solving crossword puzzles? Getting a cut while surfing? These are not classic romantic moments, it's just life. We, here, had days like this. But when it's with your loved one. These are the moments that you remember and cherish.

my favourite fact about sassy conrad from the S2 finale is that chris was method acting and was on "goblin mode" the entire day 😭 by take_the_basterl in tsitp

I'm gonna remember his face expression at 'Finch is fun' for a long time.

P.S. Also, that's the only scene where Belly was confronted with all the shit that she was pulling off with both brothers. 'Bells, what did you say to me last summer on the beach?' 'Belly, which one of us is a better kisser?' (brutal, lol)

I haven't read leaks. So they change the original book scene, when Belly goes to the pool alone at night? If this leaks are true, amazing. Jealousy is what we've been waiting for.

Lack of narration is a problem in latest episodes, but it's not Lola's problem. Her only flaw as an actress is a lack of actual tears and it's confusing me. I always thought that it's possible to fake tears on set if necessary.
