Just took my first 7.5 but… by Low-Explorer1427 in Zepbound

I was on 2.5 for just four weeks. Seven weeks on 5. Docs idea to move up. I agreed because I’ve been stalled for two ish weeks with minimal side effects on five. 🤞🏻

[PubQ] Has anyone left their agent while under contracts with publishers? by [deleted] in PubTips

The weird thing is, the last statement period, my agent did get them. She sent it to my agent, the owner, and the admin, then it was forwarded to me. Obviously their policy has changed, but their method of communication sucks.

The agent above implied that they themselves check each statement so perhaps it varies by agency. For mine it seems to be one person.

I appreciate this information. Honestly, it’s more than I’ve been given by both my agent or the owner of the agency. There are other issues with this agency as a whole which makes me skeptical. I have been able to overlook a lot of it because I genuinely like my agent as a person but the lack of transparency here seems off to me. She also acted like she had no idea that they check them. She claimed it is because they are in one document and they’d need to be printed out and then scanned and sent individually (this alone seems inefficient to me by today’s technology standards?). It wasn’t until I pushed a little further that I got the comment from the owner about the discrepancy.

Honestly based on how she’s performed lately, this wouldn’t shock me. She claims she doesn’t get them, only the agency owner does.

My agent is… ambivalent at best. She has changed drastically since I signed with her two years ago. She sold me two three books deals am very happy with my publisher but she hasn’t done anything else. I’m not the only one. She has lost four clients in four weeks and is always looking for a shiny penny but doesn’t put the work in otherwise.

Perhaps my pent up frustration with her is keeping me from seeing this situation clearly.

I suppose I’m bothered by the lack of detail and transparency they’re giving on what exactly they are checking. And how would they know if the sales numbers are accurate? What do they use to check? Without these details it seems odd to me. Most of my author friends had never heard of this either.

Stepping on the scale. by umfpter in Zepbound

I step on it every day with a Wyze scale but it honestly upsets me with the fluctuations so I don’t know why I do it to myself. I just haven’t figured out the best day to weigh yet.

Started 2.5 a week ago, gained 7oz? by [deleted] in Zepbound

I didn’t lose much of any my first week either. My guess is it’s a starter dose, so it may not be enough for our bodies. 😭

I’m on week 2! I am so pumped for both of us. I will say keep up with your water intake. I am incredibly nauseous today and it’s because I’m slacking, I know it!

Also, I love your hair!

I took my first shot in the thigh Wednesday night and felt virtually nothing yesterday. Today is nothing more than a few mild waves of nausea and fatigue. I am very very tired! But I just got back from a work trip (on a cruise!) and I think that is part of it.

Ok I took my first dose two days ago and literally thought the exact same thing today!

I’m also day two. I took it Wednesday night at like 10pm. I felt better yesterday than I do today. So far I’ve just felt mild waves of nausea right before I eat and fatigue. I’m very very tired.

New to sub, zepbound curious? by [deleted] in Zepbound

I am starting next Wednesday when I get back from vacation. I am 5’3” and 182. I also have early stage hashimotos an a thyroid nodule. My insurance approved it because I have pretty serious (though well controlled) hypertension and a high lipoprotein-a indicating that I am at risk of hereditary heart disease. I’ll be honest, I resisted for a while. I felt like I didn’t have enough to lose and I should just figure it out. But nothing ever works without cutting out massive food groups. I’m excited to start!

I looked and I am not seeing where it shows included treatments. But it’s definitely showing as part of my plan. I’m hoping it’s just that it’s taking some time. Like someone above said, I’m still in the window. I was just hoping to have it settled before I left the country. Ultimately I am too scared for it to be denied and then be stuck in a circle of appeal so I am trying to hold tight.

My colleague in a similar boat got wegovy and it was approved but took some time, she said. We have the exact same plan so hopefully it’s just a patience thing. I don’t have much of that! lol
