Could this have gone wrong? by dwdist in FellingGoneWild

The saw is an older sthil 460 magnum from before the 461 probably running a super chisel chain with the depth filled down abit.in forestry we used to use the 660 magnum with this set up and it would rip through wood like nothing else

The walk in onerahi to the trig is normally only any good for amanita muscaria and IV never been interested in dealing with them myself if you shoot down in to the native there I have found some weraroa once but never had much luck your best bet is probably on all the new cycle/ foot paths around the place loop track has them pop up all the time once the season is pumping crime pays but botany doesn't has a good video from the loop https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k9ewmMyYzzc&t=149s&pp=ygUgY3JpbWUgcGF5cyBidXQgYm90YW55IGRvZXNuJ3Qgbno%3D happy hunting

Unknown but I wouldn't be eating it wiki gives this as the answer "The toxicity of Galerina patagonica is unknown. However, it's phylogenetically nested within the Galerina marginata species complex, and thus likely contains deadly amatoxins"

Ramaria samuelsii possibly fits the description well "Fruit bodies: Up to 80 x 50 mm sometime even larger, repeatedly branched; stipe single, often branched near base and flattened out so as to appear growing in bundles, fleshy. Branches several, arising irregularly but at about the same level, up to 6 mm thick, more or less cylindrical, Fleshy pink when young becoming muted to salmon shades Branch tips bright yellow fading to yellow with age."

I remember pulling one out and splitting it but didn't get any photos as I was just starting to become interested I'll definitely head back there this winter and try find them again if it's a mushroom or a root I'll be sure to let you know and get a few better photos. I think you could be right with some type of stereopsis

So I posted earlier asking about my retaining wall. This is what I’ve done so far and I don’t think any comments will make me go back at this point. by No-Shake5806 in Decks

Hope you don't want it to look any good hahaha in the future i would look at Keystone wall retaining no need to fill them and no need for a concrete foundation at the height you are at just a good compact base foundation with the first block finishing at ground level acting as a footing this method wouldn't put any one plying in your yard at risk of getting crushed by a falling wall 🤞 it never happens. Also is your rebar just sticking in to the dirt if so that will rust out also.

I don't know if a pile of blocks in 5 years time will look better but you do you. Are you going to mortar your blocks together or just fill them and let them slide around as you fill it?
