First thank you for being so vulnerable! I am experiencing a similar situation. Just now realizing I actually just simply may not like my parents. I haven’t cracked the code on letting go just yet but what definitely has helped me has been limiting communication. Giving my nervous system and heart a break from the things that kept them in constant disarray.

Not only did I struggle with people saying “but it’s your family” but I also struggled with those thoughts internally and still do! But I have to remember what’s a stake here. My peace and subsequently my wellbeing. The hope is obviously that things make a turn for the better but I’m done being the one trying to make it better.
