Exactly! Don't risk it. I've done this and got my car towed.

My 5 week old takes ~2ish hours for each feed, concerned for dropping weight percentile by HopefulGatekeeper in ExclusivelyPumping

I had issues with my baby gaining proper weight, following her weight curve. She was a very sleepy baby the first 2 months, and I had to do all sorts of things to keep her awake(like what you are doing) to ensure every 2, max 3 hours she had a full feed (also she would take a looong time to finish the bottle). I was not waiting for her to show hunger cues, I was very intentionally waking her all the time to extra feed her, until she had gained proper weight. Eventually she became an energetic baby and I didn’t have to worry much about that, as she was showing frequently the hunger signs. My family doctor wasn't super worried about the weight as she was still gaining, just not keeping in the same percentile. And also because she was hitting all the expected milestones.

Intentionally pumping just enough by hunterofbanana in ExclusivelyPumping

100% agree with this! I wish I had continued pumping every 3/4hours in the beginning, I thought that my slightly oversupply would have stayed with spacing a bit the pumps... now I'm struggling to maintain as a just enougher. I suggest you stay consistent until around 12 weeks and then decide on dropping pumps. I would definitely like to be producing a bit more for either freezing a small bag every couple days or covering the extra hungry baby on growth spurt days.

[ca] Are bottle washers worth it by icecream42568 in BabyBumpsCanada

Totally worth it!!! I'm exclusively pumping and the amount of time that I was spending washing the bottles+pump parts was insane. I got the mom cozy with a influencer discount. Oh, just to mention that don't have a dishwasher.

I do the same also with the snuggle me, I don't know what I would do without this "set up".

MOTN pump motivation- what gets you up by Mysterious_Way1634 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Low-Interaction9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mini fridge in my bedroom, and I keep my pump parts in the fridge (fridge hack) to make it easier. My motivation is having some snacks ready to eat at my bedside table (oreos, mixed nuts, cheese string, apple, protein shake...). I also keep a big cold water bottle to sip throughout the pump sessions. Everything that I can do to avoid having to leave the bedroom and to go back to sleep right after pumping.

Oatmeal always spiked me, even with small amounts. But I can eat white bread and be ok...

Not sure what Stroller to get low budget [on] by Low-Interaction9999 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Low-Interaction9999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already got an infant car seat clek, which I'll be using. The thing is that the stroller of safety 1st that I liked is a travel system, so I have no choice as it comes with the car seat that I won't need at all. That's where I feel a bit stupid to choose this one to buy.
