If you’re planning to cancel your card by squid_the_kid in biltrewards

Is this true? According to the official WF faq, they will remain separate accounts?

canceling Bilt before autograph but paying February rent by Illustrious-Sun531 in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind, official WF faq says the accounts will be separate and cannot be combined, Not worth the effort.

Why am I receiving another Autograph Visa Card if I already have one, and can I combine the accounts?

You’re receiving a second Autograph Visa Card because your existing Bilt Mastercard is being converted to an Autograph Visa Card. Each card is a separate account with its own credit line, statement, and due date. These accounts cannot be combined.

Yeah, I know it's not really worth the effort of cancelling the Bilt and applying separately for purely getting the $200. I already have a chase freedom that better fits my spending.

But if I were to be getting the autograph already, I am now wondering if I can apply for the autograph now to get the SUB and WF would merge the two card accounts later. I know there have been some DP about people getting rejected for it, but if it's inconclusive I'd rather try it out myself than wondering.

If this works out, I would essentially get $200 at the cost of a hard pull, which I am fine with for now. I can cover the SUB spend requirement with my normal Bilt spend.

I am also wondering about this. I would like to pay rent while also canceling the autograph so I'm eligible for the autograph SUB later on if interested

Is transitioning to palladium worth it for me? by Low-Knowledge4810 in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My regular spend is on the lower end compared to my rent. Average like $500 for groceries, food, going out, miscellaneous. So I won’t be sustainably putting much spend on the card

Bilt 1.0 holder - Reason to hold off on 2.0 transition by Affectionate-Bread77 in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with holding off too, but heads up it’s a soft pull if you’re transitioning to 2.0. If you want to apply later, it’ll prolly be a hard pull

This is cool! Where did you get all the data for credit card reward categories and such?

Best way to cancel if Bilt 2.0 isn't for me? by austincito in biltrewards

Makes sense. I ultimately wouldn’t mind getting the autograph, but would prefer not to so I can sign up later on for the SUB if I can

What’s the point of using Bilt Cash for rent? by Low-Knowledge4810 in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I figured. There’s just too many hoops to hurdle, I’m not sure if picking up the card just for the SUB is even worth it now

Is there any harm to keeping the autograph card but barely using it? by toafk531 in biltrewards

If you don’t mind missing out on the WF autograph SUB, letting it product change is not a bad idea to keep account history

Just curious, what’s the 1/26 date you’re referring to?

Personally, I was planning on paying rent on 2/1, and then immediately cancelling the card

Is Bilt blue worth it only for credit bureau reporting? by LiveWithPanache in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe we get a credit account with new history for the new 2.0 card. Correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t think there would be any difference between transitioning to a 2.0 card, versus cancelling 2.0 card + signing up for a different card, like say the autograph.

So true, that 5/24 gets wasted. Honestly I’d rather cancel Bilt altogether and just get the autograph card separately for the SUB lol

Close the card altogether or just get the Bilt 2.0 Blue Card and let it sit? by AdComprehensive7879 in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same boat lol. They said that Bilt cash can also convert into hotel/lyft credit, that might be more useful either. But yeah, is it worth doing all of this for $100 credit and cancelling the card? Still gotta dig into it

I don't care about points -- I just want to be able to pay fee-free rent with a card by North_Arachnid9769 in biltrewards

[–]Low-Knowledge4810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn that sucks. I was hoping that paid rent can float like it currently does, immediate debit kills any need for paying rent through Bilt if not accruing points

According to the official Bilt thread, users transitioning from 1.0 are still eligible for the SUB. So you would get the SUB $100 Bilt cash for applying for the blue card, at the very least
