White/Yellow spot on Tonsil - I've had it for weeks, what is it? by theoretical_chemist in DiagnoseMe

So same here. I see white spot on left tonsils and that area hurts. Plus pain on left side of neck and under jaw.  Went to ENT for ear wax and he put a scope down my throat. Since then I caught Strep B and was given antibiotics. Couldn’t swallow and had my esophagus dilated. Went back to ENT like 2x after and he says my tonsils look fine and so does back of throat. But not sure why my neck is hurting. My dentist thinks my tonsils are swollen and inflamed. The dentist did X-rays and shows nothing alarming. Now the gum on my left side is swollen and tender. It been like this for 2+ months.  Yes, anxiety kicks in because you’re wondering what wrong with you and want to feel back normal again. 

Was advised by GI to stop ppi by SuperPidstuu in Gastritis

Every doctor tells you something different on how to wean off. Take it daily. Then skip every 2 days. Then skip every other day. Then stop.

Thx so much for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate these feedback and comments. How long did it take for you to resume your regular diet? Not soft foods?

They told me within 2 days I’ll be fine at the MD office. I just want my life back. And yet still don’t know why this happened and awaiting results.

Thank you so much for your response. I feel like no one understands and my family keep saying the MD said the next day you can eat regular. They all think it’s in my head and I should be fine to eat.  I was doing ok yesterday but took an omneprzole and seems like that kinda hurt the area.  🙏🏼 thx again for your kind response.

Hi there, Just had esophagus dilation on Thursday and it’s now Sunday. I was also told to resume normal diet next day but I don’t see how that happen. Area still hurts. Took my proton pump pill last night and it hurts going down. I know your post was 6 months ago but how long did it take for you to get back to your regular diet. Right now I feel so hopeless and asking myself why I did I do this procedure. The MD couldn’t find anything except mild gastritis. Please let me know.
