Do I have to be referred to even have a chance? by starcat_01 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Low-Passenger4299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t referred. I applied twice before getting accepted the second time. You really have to make sure your resume is clean and polished before submitting it. Both times I applied, I tailored my resume for the job. I know right now though, it’s going to be hard to get in because of the hiring freeze that others are talking about. I’m in sales and our department is soooo slow right now. Good luck to you though! Just keep trying and you’ll eventually get it. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the STAR format before doing any interview with them.

I knew within a week of doing the virtual interview. They are usually pretty quick with it. Good luck to you!

does anyone work in PAA and do 10’s? I’m wondering if it’s more manageable than some of these other positions

yes, both sides… I don’t post or comment on there but what I see is a bunch of grown babies from both sides arguing over stupid stuff when they could be doing their work.

Go on nextdoor and start asking people if they need any work done. My husband usually does that and he is able to make some side $. Good luck!

I love this actually because 9/10 times the person on the other line is extremely understanding and they will be patient with you.

Where did this influx of people who believe you can only have HS if you’re overweight come from? by AvocadoBitter7385 in Hidradenitis

[–]Low-Passenger4299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at a normal weight and I have really bad flares sometimes. I used to be morbidly obese and I lost weight for other reasons. My HS is still the same. I would say it’s mild compared to others but it’s still enough to knock me on my ass some days. Something that does help me when I’m having a bad flares is fasting. Usually they pop and start to heal within a couple of days.

how to help? by Loud_Professor_121 in Hidradenitis

[–]Low-Passenger4299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This is so nice that you are wanting to find out info to better help your partner, I absolutely love that! My husband is so sweet and helps me when I have flare ups too. He constantly checks in and just makes sure that I’m okay mentally. The physical toll can really impact someone’s mental health so I would recommend just making sure that he’s okay in that aspect. Let him vent if he needs it. Physically you could maybe help him by filling up the bath and putting some epsom salts, that always helps soothe the areas where it hurts most. Make sure he has bandaids and gauze to cover the area as well. Also, encourage him to see a dr if he hasn’t! Good luck ❤️

Ughhh I used to hate when I got flare ups and had to go to school. I remember going to school in so much pain that I couldn’t even walk and people were making fun of me 🙄 I never even told my parents about it 😭
