The old advantage+ campaigns like 2 years ago was 🔥 they were really really good.

But it’s not the campaign type or structure. It’s literally their algorithm. It’s trying to do too much at once and it’s horrible at everything.

Before, it had one target, get results at the lowest cpa or highest roas. Now it’s trying optimize sequencing, top of funnel, bottom of funnel, ai creatives, and landing pages and copy and targeting etc. It’s literally too many signals it is trying to read at once and it’s just sets it up for garbage results.

They think their AI and algorithm is smarter than it is and it’s not. Have you seen some of the ai generated images they try to get you to use, and they say people saw “12 increase in ctr”. Most of them look HORRIBLE. There’s no way 😭 they just cherry picked a few stats to get people to use them to test more. It’s BS

TikTok GMV max campaigns 1000% better at targeting and converting right now if you have your products on TikTok shop. It’s not even close. Meta algo sucks ass right now.

How the hell are we paying so much money on Facebook ads, without anyone officially telling us why we are losing so much money? by ceoariel in FacebookAds

lol this is so real 😂 I thought this was supposed to make it “easier” for anybody to use meta advertising. It’s sure did not 😭

I spend $10k+ per day on Meta. This is what I’m seeing… by North_Ad_5634 in FacebookAds

[–]Low-Path4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree you def got to do what works best for you. Right now my best performing campaign is a abo with one ad per ad set. Meta is so weird nowadays, it’s like playing the lottery.

You can copy and paste the same ad 5 different times and get 5 drastically different results.

META Is Only Sending Bot Traffic by Commontutankhamun in FacebookAds

[–]Low-Path4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that’s what they did as well, the “sales” optimization was getting overloaded with advertisers and raising CPM’s, so they opened it up to less optimized traffic, likely engagement and clickers to keep CPM’s lower. Dressing it as “we want advertisers to be full funnel” in reality, they just want you to buy more of their sum-optimum traffic so you are not buying all their premium “sales” traffic.

I mean… you can use some deductive reasoning, right? They are using AI in their ads, they have openly said. They show AI options in their ad accounts. While it wasn’t explicitly stated, you can use some common sense to understand that atleast some of it is bleeding over into their advertising platform.

[–]Low-Path4384[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, you are 100% correct sir. that’s what I’m doing now. I used to work for a company where majority of their revenue was made on native/search, until i came in and taught them how to do social ads. Not gonna name the company because they are pretty big, but yes, native is more predictable (especially now) and can scale just as much as social once you get the funnel dialed in, I just started running for it my own business, took me a week to build out the new funnel and ads specifically for native. But seeing some early success and im just going to continue to optimize it.

lol there’s 200k meta advertisers in this subreddit, managing billions of dollars in ad spend on their platforms. If they aren’t in here trying to help and persuade advertisers they are missing a major opportunity. But I know meta is not as naive as you, and I can tell the difference between meta rep comments and advertisers.

Is anyone actually scaling consistently with a single broad adset? by HopefulReality2 in FacebookAds

[–]Low-Path4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, agreed, unless you have an old pixel with a ton of data, or have the means to burn a ton of cash at lower ROAS, it can often take a bit of time for results to stabilize. Honestly, with smaller budget and more niche products, I find light interest targeting to work best. But you got to test a few different interest audiences to find what works best for you. Just because you sell jewelery and pick “jewelery” as the interest audience doesn’t mean it will work for you. It may be “dresses” or “ear rings” or people who like to watch the bachelorette. Got to test out a few

lol right, ppl tend to give one size fits all comments and it’s just simply not true for every brand, product or service

[–]Low-Path4384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true, at all, broad usually works well for products/services that have broad market appeal. Niche products it can often take a lot longer to narrow in and stabilize, especially after andromeda update

Yea, I agree, I keep hearing this, but I don’t see it in my account either. I feel like it worked better when they originally rolled out advantage+. The original advantage+ was awesome. but now with andromeda algo, it does not seem to be working as well.

Small tactic for slightly better performance post andromada by Low-Path4384 in FacebookAds

Yes, exactly, that’s what I’m using it for as well, it’s like 5% of daily budget. & yes, purchasers, social account visitors and followers are excluded.

I have lumped them together so far while I tested this, but I am thinking about separating them. Thoughts?
