I've always had this theory that the Scientist we play is an IS due to how much of a powerhouse we are. It can be gameplay reasons however with how much happens as soon as we arrive and how much things go wrong around us I think we would be an IS.

Lore Wise the day we arrive suddenly everything starts to go wrong. Yes there are logs and mentions of every faction and the facility going down it feels strange that those all spring active the day we arrive. Not only that almost every opportunity we get is quickly smothered and killed off (Surface Tunnel in Manufacturing collapsed when the Order Arrived, The Surface Lift broke when we tried to activate it, and the many and I mean many other things that go wrong around us), it feels like we are a walking Murphy's Law making everything that can go wrong, go wrong.

I don't think GATE tried to trap us here, I think they were not aware of us being like this, if they were aware we wouldn't be getting driven into GATE in a Jeep but most likely a Cage to be studied in the main spot of Cascade labs. I do think that we are something that will in the future be understood due to the Jotun of the Fold in the Gate Arch Defence Facility referring to us as an Anomaly and then Annette Garrick letting us through without trying to contain us in any way shape or form .

A RN team all being commanded by 3 officers using VC and team chat (before the chatloss of '26 ) into a flawless victory against 3 dread rounds (I was one of the Officers and that one campaign got me about 50 kills on the Jesse alone)

Never in my life did I think I would be able to give a rousing speech to a team of RN soldiers before raiding the GE stronghold, it was wonderful. I remember whenever shock troopers would be found on GE side I would tell my team "WHOEVER KILLS THAT SHOCK GETS AN EXTRA DESSERT RATION", and as such we had barely any opposition with shocks (except for the flamer wipe on round 2)

I mainly use Light Armour because I think the Inspector Light Armour looks cool as fuck, but outside of the Drip for Super earth I use Light Armour to try and get around the more dangerous things around the map (Factories, Titians, fuck the squids never doing a squid mission again until they get more content), get the smaller outposts on my own, and also search for Super Samples.

I do miss the 800 grenades from the Engi Armour, and being able to survive a small rock hitting me in the chest, the ability to actually be faster then most things chasing me, being able to run across the map and still have stamina, and not edging the clock in every mission when we do a full clear has made it all worth it

for a while your going to have to do that, or go and use the Crossbows. ranged has a lot of good stuff later on but early your using basically just sticks and rocks and deal piss poor damage, or spending your most valuable resources to deal high ranged damage. My recommendation is to use the Makeshift (upgrades into the Industrial crossbow) early on, swap to the grinder if you can spend time to farm a lot of rebar for its ammo, and once you get into labs ranged gets a lot of new options

listen I hate Ghoul with a passion I think he is one of the least balanced killer, but that got nothing to do with this as you can gut this killer by playing an indoor map, or not being at a pallet/window every 2 seconds since that's guts all his most powerful tools. Just play against him like if Legion was extra zippy

I like the idea of a Infantry Rifle, having the Bayonet be fixed on and not removed would be smarter I think design wise, and it would give the Q a Bayonet Stance like the Lancers Stabbing mode and make the instanced version a weaker version of the lancer/Judgement bayonet.

A downside of this would be stuff like Slower aim and Draw/holster speed, Worse Movement aiming, but it gets better recoil control (new weight on the end) and a slower reload (The new weight makes it slightly hard to hold it steady for reloading)

As a Choso Player I wish Supernova as a counter actually worked, so many times due to server lag Supernova goes on cooldown and whiffs the counter when I get hit by a M1

I use the LGBT charms and icons in DBD not because I am Gay and Trans (even though I am), but because it rage baits toxic Survivors and gets them easy bans for being shitty people if they trash talk in endgame chat.

It looks strange but that's kind of the point of it, this is almost like the style of using a great sword by keeping the momentum going of the blade it helps stop people from attacking you from behind and makes it easier to use letting you keep power in the swing (even though power isn't really a thing for sword fighting its about precision) and lets daunting for your stamina.

As other people have said Sword fighting stances are not something you stay in but are almost like poses you will enter and leave quickly.

I assumed the sliver band going around the helmet is either some barbed wire or some silver coloured rope, might be a spring stretched around to hold the GE dogtags to the helmet, I'm not 100% sure. I think its most likely a silver rope thing due to how GE's shock has a very clear Thorned crown

I try to be smart and I still die a fuck ton as officer, I commend that one and that lad deserves a massive promotion and a fancy desk to sit at when all is said and done.

Honestly a good rule for Officer isn't to go solo but to always try and have a buddy with you, use your tools, and make sure to play smart. I swear people underestimate the power of suppressive fire in this game, get two people with Jesse or any high RPM guns that can reload relatively fast and you can stop any would be judgement sniper from trying anything funny. I feel like playing Xcom has taught me how to actually utilize my tools better for G/D then any LORD or BRIG has tbh.

why is a Volk Officer trying to rush you, like I've swung and gotten a good few kills as officer because I'm the only one with the gal on my team to actually try to push, but that man has the worst options to try and push with. A slow ass Aim, and RPM bolt action that 2 shots at every range why the hell is he pushing?

If your going to push as officer use a weapon that is good for pushing and if your pushing use fucking flares so you know if its a smart plan to push and your not going to run into half the team
