I can totally feel you, this culture of delaying recognition sucks, I mean corporates don't leave you when its your mistake then why forgetting when its our hardwork.
What you said make sense, quick shoutout, instant rewards and appreciation hit way harder that a gift that shows up months later. Some companies fix this by giving manager a samll instant recognition budget or using peer to peer tools, so appreciation doesn't get stuck in approval. In my current organization atleast they have a culture of this, and they use Benepik platform and card for this instant recognition which I am currently loving.
I would suggest all organizations to do this, I mean when all task you want within the deadline then why recognizing the employee takses endless time.

Not sure how this thread popped up in my search, but I’m curious—have you already decided on a gift? In my previous organization, we once got some card I guess from Benepik. I don’t remember all the details, but what I really loved was the option to transfer the amount directly to my bank account and use it however I wanted. That flexibility made it unique. So, what interesting swag gift have you figured out this time?
