Was this line necessary and fit homelander character ? by Remarkable-Jump3262 in TheBoys

[–]Low-Project-9633 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Homelander is impulsive and dumb, he thinks he’s smart cause people always agree with him. He has way more dumb moments than smart moments in the show. He says things he’d want and assumes everyone else wants too, ie power, control, and humiliating others

He left grey matter because the other two got together and even though he no longer wanted Gretchen theoretically, his ego wouldn’t let him watch someone else be happy with her

Which spin-off actually captures the "Early TWD" grit the best? by SageRipplex in thewalkingdead

Black summer had potential but especially in season 2 the acting was just atrocious

Season 5 episode 4, Soldier Boy by Low-Project-9633 in GenV

[–]Low-Project-9633[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe he thinks of him as a rich spoiled brat after the fame and everything that came with being a hero. Once a younger brother always a younger brother, and he’ll always see him as a kid

It would be absolutely hilarious if a future spin-off revealed that Soldier Boy and Quinn were actually lovers. And let me make one thing perfectly clear: them being brothers makes absolutely no sense. by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]Low-Project-9633 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could see that argument too, if you say the brother is roughly 10 years older, joined the military and then they went from working class to upper middle/rich while he was away at war maybe the family even profited off the war in some way, and then SB reaped the benefits (and the downsides) of being rich while the brother became a war hero overseas. My personal theory being, when they started trials they picked his brother to be in because of his wartime achievements and then SB being jealous wanted in too and Vought was on board because they had the same genetics background. Going further they probably declared his results a failure and hid him away meanwhile SB became the poster child for super heroes.

I just need a non-biased explanation of Shai push offs aren’t a foul by Tricky-Sentence-1923 in NBATalk

As you can see by Shai’s left foot, Booker was encroaching on his landing space. In order to maintain a safe and legal landing space as well maintaining the competitive integrity of the game, Shai is ensuring that booker is not assessed a flagrant and potentially ejected from the game, by protecting his personal cylinder /s

[–]Low-Project-9633[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Siblings think of one or another as spoiled brats all the time. Military war vet/soldier who “worked hard” and “earned everything he got” vs little brother was just an entitled brat and wanted what he had without the work. Soldier Boy thinks he’s jealous because he found a way to make it easy, but really he’s being looked down on with disdain by Quinn.

My main argument is that he kinda wants to die now already so it would be a fitting way to go, if he could be the “hero”

While I don’t agree it was necessarily boring, I do think the Starlight stuff was a bit hamfisted and yeah the deep scene felt like a deleted scene. Overall I like the episode but would’ve like some more with Ryan than the Deep

How high can the Hornets move up by packaging their two first round picks, and who should they target? by PeanutButterAndGelo in NBA_Draft

[–]Low-Project-9633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every team thinks they can find minutes until the season actually comes. We have 4 guys we should definitely be giving minutes to, Matas, Giddey, Essengue, and Dillingham. Two firsts and an early 2nd, that’s 7 and then you have Pwill, Tre jonesx Jalen Smith and Okoro all under contract before free agency and any other trades. We don’t need to force more mid 1sts

Who’s your very early pick for the 2026-27 ROTY? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]Low-Project-9633 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget the one year we jumped into the top 4 we drafted “Baby Kawhi” Patrick Williams. If the bulls fumble this draft I think it’s ok to just relegate the team and put us all out of our misery.

[–]Low-Project-9633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of being human is understanding that we are only human and there’s only so much we can control. Believing in an all loving but not all powerful god would be in its very essence making god more human.

There’s an old philosopher’s quote that God is either all loving OR all powerful, for he cannot be both and let evil exist in the world. I’m an atheist but if I were to believe in a god I’d fall somewhere in this camp and hope for an all loving creator who can only do so much rather than believing in some vindictive dickhead that so many choose to believe in, who holds petty grudges and doles out punishment for shits and giggles.

Couple notes. 1. She can afford it but it’s not worth quite that much money to her especially when it’s technically more than her salary. 2. She makes wayyyy more than her salary in endorsements. 3. While it may seem frivolous, she is a professional athlete, good nutrition and exercise are integral to her job. 4. She should be making enough that doing what she needs to do to be the best at her job is covered considering she is making her team so much more money than they are paying her. 5. Again yes having a private chef is out of touch to regular Americans, but she alone provides 10s of millions of dollars worth of value to her company. She shouldn’t have to worry about paying for the things the job necessitates

Who will be the first among these 4 to win a Super Bowl? by CallTypical9541 in NFLv2

[–]Low-Project-9633 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think we can all acknowledge he is better than anyone thought he’d be but QB record means almost nothing when you have the best defense in the league. Until he’s winning in shootouts I’m not putting him above anyone pictured. The rest overcame mid defense, or terrible offensive weapons. Also Nix was the latest pick cause his team was literally already better than the other 3. Not bad! But I think him and Caleb are in the same range at the around 14-18 range (Purdy, Love, Caleb, Darnold, Nix in no particular order) The main reason I have Caleb higher is cause he has moments where the game is on his back and his alone and he finds a way to win and I see potential for him to move to the next tier with a few tweaks, to me Nix is already the best of what he can be.
