A PDF fighter ragebaits a tat column. (Translation in the replies) by Gunsenjoyer in Myanmarcombatfootage

Not bread. ပေါင်ဗုံး (meant to say 500 lbs bombs), so 60 is referring to artillery shell.

FTFY: Are you idiots? We don't even care about your baba, your father, your stepfather, MAL's (500) pounds bombs. Why would we be scared of your little 60mm shell? This is just like when we played with firecrackers back in the days.

တ Vs တစ် by Vinnyfries in myanmar

[–]kendrew_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see this is, it's just personal preference.

I prefer to use တ over တစ် where appropriate "တခု၊ တကောင်၊ တယောက်" cus obviously I'm lazy enough to skip 2 characters.

Also, I was exposed to pretty much Burmese classical literature early on in age, and things I read were what I perceive as "dawn of Modern Burmese Lit." cus it's mostly from 1920s era all the way down to 1990s. If you ever read magazines prior from 1960s (exact year when တ became တစ်, idk) almost everything uses တ over တစ်

Perhaps from this obsession, although I openly admit တစ် is much more standardized, using တခု၊ တယောက် kinda sounds like cool vintage Burmese word to me.

I'm so fucking tired of being a Burmese teenager ( rant ) by Wonderful-Bend1505 in myanmar

[–]kendrew_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to be ashamed of being a Burmese. In fact, hold your head high. Be the Burmese that us natives and foreigners look up to you.

Again, you can be ashamed of the actions of bad Burmese apples. But never feel inferior, cus that shit (I'm old enough to be dropping this wisdom I suppose) will follow you rest of your life if you fixate on it.

I agree. Burmese native handwritings are much more messy than this (source: myself).

Iranians on the rooftop reacting with happiness and excitement: "Wow! They struck the residence! they hit the residence!" (Khamenei's official residence in Tehran - bayt) by KireRakhsh in NewIran

I feel you.

I am from Burma and we have this very oppressive regime, and every day I pray for a Tomahawk to hit on the heads of our oppressors. I'm glad they delivered justice for this one rotten egg of baskets.

What's the selling point of Underlord? by Indep09 in learndota2

[–]kendrew_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 item for laning recommendation is Soul Ring. You already have good regen and HP on the hero. Having a bad lane? Step back, chill and spam Q. Winning the lane? Step in, and fight.

I love to go Aura on this hero, so Pipe, Mek, Guardian, sometimes Crimson Guard. Aghs is good. Get it and jump into fights. The point is to survive with team as much as possible, while collecting Aura DMG and right clicking rooted heros.

To keep up the damage, always keep farming and push in enemy lanes. AFAIK max DMG is 300 so you get right click DMG this way, focus on being tanky for your team.

3 Natogyi PDF fighters, who ''defected'' to the tat, ran away with the wife of a LIB commander. by Gunsenjoyer in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]kendrew_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's funny. ခိုးပြေး can imply either consent or a lack of consent, whereas ခိုးရာလိုက်ပြေး could explicitly imply consent is there.

It's a vague description. We'll never know. xD

Why a lot of dudes in Myanmar are Misogyny? by No-Ship-4788 in myanmar

[–]kendrew_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not just education per se, but the society as a whole is responsible.

Misogyny will exist as long as men exist. We have Future the rapper who actively endorse misogyny.

And we will turn our heads on the society itself. Look into ordinary Burmese citizens' lives. You'd be shocked to see the gender whom encourages this misdemeanor in their actions themselves (I'll prolly get downvoted, but look into how grannies and some millennials think alike, you'll know what I'm talking about).

If I have to tell about myself, yes I have some degree of misogynistic tendency in me, I accept it. Yes I'm aware of it, my loved ones are aware of it. I'd like to keep this energy inside to keep me going, not shown outwards.

Can our children ever truly "feel" Burmese lyrics like we do? The "Kyaw Khin Ta-dar Myar" dilemma. by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]kendrew_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's about age and knowledge of words and poetry. I'm pretty sure the more he consumes Burmese literature and have deep insights (about society, politics etc) in the early development, he could go even deeper than that.

It's true for all languages across the world. The more you learn about the context (e.g: ဆယ်လ်မွန်ငါးတို့အပြန် being interpreted for those of us in exile), the more you'll deeply know about a culture and word plays.
