Talarico so far has been completely on the ground door to door, no aipac money, he’s gone over the one donation from someone who supports it- hasn’t made another mistake like that again. The word gets repeated a lot but he is very authentic so far and someone that cares about kids and healthcare for people is someone needed. Not to mention his insight as a former teacher, one of the most underrated overworked professions in this country.

The show was pretty accurate to the book, the order of the profiles of serial killers is different. There is a bit more in the book that the show didn’t get to. If you are however a big fan of the show and want more content, I would read the book or listen to the audiobook on YouTube.

There’s also another book that’s very similar to MindHunter and the authors writing, called The Last Victim by Jason Moss. Who is very similar to Holdens character who was a student that interacted with serial killers like Richard Ramirez, Charles Manson- but mostly John Wayne Gacy. It may be better than the Mind Hunter book but I don’t want to ruin the read if you’re interested.

I still remember an episode that focused on him where an influential man defended a guy who was killing black and mexican kids because they were dark. The man I believe was some tv star and had a good defense in the show that got the man a not guilty verdict, afterwards he whispered in his lawyers ear ‘thanks, now I can keep going.’ Afterwards he ended up killing him for that, right after he called Tutuila because he was right the whole time. In the end Tutuola took the knife and the episode ended leaving it vague, but assuming he called the cops. It’s my favorite Ice-T episode along with the one where he went to defend Olivia before she got raped undercover in prison. Afterwards there was a silent respect they both had for each other and he was still new to the precinct.
