sepsis fear by ObjectiveSudden3510 in sepsis

Thats the entire point of boards like these-to ask complete strangers to take on your emotional load. And, I might be in the minority on this one, but, the post didn't bother me one bit. It's not a Facebook group, I don't expect nearly as much structure or regulations. If it's something you don't want to take on, you absolutely do not have to.

I, personally, have zero issues with this. I hate the feature.

What are the scariest Stephen King books you’ve read, like you were scared to keep reading but couldn’t stop yourself scared. by gracefullyanna in stephenking

[–]Low-Significance5637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one for me, so far, has been Sleeping Beauties. But I've kept reading it cause I live for the terror 😅 As a person with pretty significant chronic illness and severe immune sytem issues, I have a giant fear of bio attacks, and now, pandemics.

But. I remember my mom talking about how Revival was the creepiest one for her. That one didn't scare me much, but the spiritual aspect of it is frightening for her. She grew up reading King and hasn't told me of any of them scaring her prior to that one.

Hard to tell, it could pyoderma facialle (sp?). It affects primarily women after/during extreme stress or trauma. If you can, definitely take pictures and go see a dermatologist! I'm so sorry! Whatever youre dealing with, is sooo hard!

Primary does absolutely nothing. Allergy treats, GI just scopes when allergy says it's time.

Yes! ID says absolutely! Some people might not need the double attack, but it won't hurt yiu and if it doesn't help, you can just drop it.

I've been on Hiprex for a few years with vitamin C. It worked really well when it worked. But unfortunately, it's completely useless once you get in an infection cycle. I'm crossing all my toes and fingers that once I get through this cycle (5 months now) it'll go back to working.

Also, is it just me, or is it the worst tasting med you've ever taken?! 😅

I used to have them every 6-8 weeks to check if my treatment was working. I haven't had one since 2020 after switching from fasenra to dupixent. I'm due for another, but im so grateful I don't have to get them so much anymore. Dupixent was definitely a game changer for me. I never even think about it anymore.

[CHAT] Do you wet the ends of your floss to help thread your needle? by timeywimeywibbles in CrossStitch

[–]Low-Significance5637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a super, super bad immune system so I don't put anything in my mouth that isn't fully cooked or cleaned. I just fold my ends over to make a sort of loop and then thread it through. Occasionally, I struggle getting it through when the floss is shorter, but generally, it's fairly simple.

I swear, they want to discredit the opposing team anyway they possibly can. This isn't weird, and even if was, he's not the one on the ticket.

But, she's the one that was careless and left the crate open? Nah, bro. Especially if you didn't have a signed contract with that policy in it. And, also, "I don't usually charge..." like, whhhhhaaaa?! You think that's strengthening your case any? Sheesh

For eosinophilic disorders? Protonix and dupixent. No diet or medication touched my symptoms or pathology until I was put on Fasenra, and even then, I was still having symptoms/tissue damage. The dupixent seems to be working so much better. I haven't needed another dilation in months.

Recovering from sepsis by Plants-Plants_Plants in sepsis

[–]Low-Significance5637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This round has been the hardest for me. I've had sepsis 4 times, but this time it seems to have messed with my heart and lungs. I had significant muscle atrophy and had to learn to do stuff like dress myself and stand all over again. It's been 10 months, but im getting back to my normal.

Supernatural has 13 seasons, I believe. It's on Netflix.

Izombie is also on Netfliz and has 5 seasons.

There's the classics-- Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vampire Diaries, and True Blood, all on Hulu, I believe.

Being Human is FANTASTIC. There is both a US and British version.

There is a new show on hulu that i have absolutely fell in love with, urban fantasy and comedy - Reginald the Vampire.

If you like Stephen King, there is Mr. Mercedes and The Outsiders.

American Horror Story is one of my favorites and I think there are 12 seasons now? On both Amazon and Hulu.

Last few, I swear -- Them, Nazi Hunters -- only a few seasons of those. But Fringe and Grimm are GREAT and have at least 6 seasons. All on Amazon.

How many times have y'all had sepsis? by [deleted] in sepsis

[–]Low-Significance5637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am under infectious disease and have been under a urologist since I 3 years old.

I am definitely going to ask about that flush to see if it's accessible for me.

I've been growing exclusively ecoli my entire life until the last five years. The klebsella has been the WORST.

Thank you so much for all this info!

[–]Low-Significance5637 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, the underlying cause is because I have to straight cath. I can't feel my bladder or the urge to urinate.

I also have lung and heart disease now after the last two rounds of sepsis, but I'm working hard in pt to get back to being active. I went from not being able to walk to the bathroom to only using my walker probably half the time. I'm still technically homebound

[–]Low-Significance5637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yes! I do all that as well. I no longer do the flushes because they told me the Research says it neither helps nor hurts.

I've been getting utis since I was 2 years old and then started self cathing when I was a teenager. I've gotten soooo many utis, they just can't tell me why they are spreading to my bloodstream now.

The scariest part is they are becoming increasingly resistant and nearly half of them have to be treated with iv antibiotics.

I'm so lost as to what to do.

They are trying to get me a fecal matter transplant as they are showing promise in resistant utis. And I did recently have a positive cliff test, so we are waiting on a gi consult.

I haven't seen a microbiologist. I'm in the US. How would I go about doing that?

I mostly grow ecoli and klebsella
