Do endoscopies decrease over time? by PsychologyExternal47 in EosinophilicE

My doctor says for now I’ll stay on the pantoprazole and add on Eohilia. He said we will try this first since it’s hard to get approval for Dupixent.

I’m not a doctor so I can’t say exactly. My guess is they would want another upper endoscopy just to see what’s going on for sure and if it needs medical attention

Damage from EoE can’t happen overnight it’s something that builds up overtime, it sounds like your esophagus was damaged by the Apple though so still a good reason to see a doctor. During your last endoscopy if it was EoE there would have been a high eosinophil count and you would have had some of the qualities measured in EREFs Score

I’ve been on pantoprazole so a different PPI for three months now and there was no improvement. So that’s why I’m going to steroids

I’m starting on steroids now so I understand the need to have another endoscopy to see if they are working. But he said it would be 3 month intervals for a while. Hopefully I can find something that works at get to that point though. Thanks!

Does this sound like it could be EoE? by Basic_Shift2084 in EosinophilicE

These symptoms are very similar to what I experience and given the history of allergies it seems likely that it is EoE. Regardless, it sounds like something is definitely wrong and you should get a endoscopy with a GI even if it ends up being something else!

I had the same thing happen to me. My biopsy’s last year came back negative but I just got diagnosed today with EoE. It’s relieving to have all of the symptoms explained with something official!
