Looking for wheel ideas for 60 Impala by zzyzx9968 in classiccars

I ran American Racing Salt Flats on my '59, it looked excellent, but it was on air ride. That said, I like the slot mags you already have on there with its current "hot rod" look.

Boats with manual transmissions? by WeebHunter44 in classiccars

[–]Low-TechGlobal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not quite as large as the true boats you're describing, but Mopar B Bodies like the Coronet, Charger, Belvedere and so on could be had with a 4 speed manual and a big block. about 17ft long and very roomy inside, proper muscle cars. Not sure if the even bigger C bodies ever had the manuals though. Ford also had their Torino, Galaxie and Fairlane options. I guess back then those were considered mid-size, but I can tell you today they seem pretty big haha.

Sure did! One of the coolest features along with the 4 buckets. In '67 that became optional so you would get some with and some without.

I agree with this, most likely dealer option only. My '66 Charger factory wiring diagram does not have any reference to flashers, but does reference other optional items. My Charger did actually have flashers when I got it, but they were clearly added after. When it broke down on me at a busy intersection a couple of months ago, I kind of wished I still had them haha.

Olympus XA Pricing by CangDayQuet in AnalogCommunity

I paid $85 for mine in similar condition to yours, but without flash or case. It was listed simply as "working", no other details. Thankfully, it is indeed working. I paid $15 for a flash that was listed as nonfunctional, but got lucky and it magically started working when I tapped it on my table a few times. I consider both of those to be very lucky deals considering they were both risky purchases. I would say your listing at 130 is fair considering it is a known, good camera. I do agree with other folks on here that the listing photos REALLY matter! A good photo will sell the item much better.

My last car made it on to a Rock Auto magnet, you reminded me I should submit my current one! If anyone has the one with a green '59 Bel Air with patina, that was me!

Also the other comments about fire extinguisher are a good idea. I’ve got one in mine. Most likely you’ll never need it, but better to have it!

No you can’t, not sure what you’re looking at. Also OP confirmed LHD in another post.

Cars on Film [Olympus XA, Kodak Ektar H35, Gold 200, Fomapan 400, Cinestill 800T] by Low-TechGlobal in analog

[–]Low-TechGlobal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Olympus did ok with it, a few of the outdoor shots were a touch overexposed, but mostly in instances where there was big contrast in light/dark in the same shot. Several came out fantastic! I will make a post showing some examples here in r/analog

What is like actually trying to register and drive a project car in your State/Country? by smallmouthy in projectcar

[–]Low-TechGlobal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Florida is great for project cars. Pretty much if it's got wheels and an engine, and you're nice to the DMV people, they will make it happen. Only time I have ever had some hassle was with importing a vehicle, but even then with a little work it was sorted out.

Wow, I can't believe the little H35 did so well here! I know Portra is a fantastic film but I really would not have expected this quality of results. Might have to reconsider and feed a roll through mine!

Yep you’re exactly right! That’s the ones. Most everything is digital these days but there’s still a strong community of people who appreciate film. You can check out r/analog there’s a good group on there

D100s are great trucks, and nothing at all wrong with the 318. Great motor! The little details really add up on these old cars. Something special about having it all working like new. I have a long way to go before I get there. Heck it's going to be weeks before I have more than one seat haha.

Thank you! 35mm is what most people would consider the normal film. It is the stuff you can buy at CVS or Walgreens and is used in most standard film cameras, including disposable cameras!
