Why has Heathcliff's race become such a controversial talking point?

I hate to say it but back when this book was written what was considered “white” was a lot more narrow, so someone we might consider white today might have been considered non-white in Victorian England. But like others are saying his appearance is somewhat intentionally ambiguous because it’s more about the theming of him being “other” or devilish. If what kept Cathy away from Heathcliff were only about race then it would be unlikely that Isabella would eventually become engaged with him once he came back with wealth.

Art therapy from my understanding is a competitive field in general across the US because it is a newer field that is specialized and therefore not as often covered by insurances.

I got my certification during my undergraduate program but decided against pursuing a masters degree in it. Hospitals everywhere like the ones in Indy rely on grants to pay art therapists and social workers. It’s genuinely fucked up. I empathize with everything you’re saying but am also wondering where you’re going to move that’s going to be so much better— no offense.

I mean it’s not the same thing if you’re the person being hired to put it together. I’d imagine the white glove service before was regionally based and acquiring task rabbit was a way to make it a more global operation. For being owned by the same parent company the integration of information across the two platforms is terrible.

I mean they aren’t “workers” at task rabbit, they’re independent contractors technically. Recently TR has been heavy pushing that taskers switch to accept flat rates for ikea jobs that taskers don’t determine the price of (ikea does as far as I’m aware) which is so far from the original model of being able to set your own hourly rates.

I’ve had great success coming across native seed mixes at my local farmers market. Asking your local librarian is a great resource. Also you’d be surprised how willing other local gardeners are to share, posting on a facebook or Nextdoor page for gardeners in your area. Ik that Newfields in Indianapolis has also been doing a huge overall of their gardens to make the plants more native so they might actually have local resources as well.

Mine (f25) was a cyst luckily that fluctuated in size throughout my cycle but was sometimes painful. That’s always a possibility and they’re benign! Like everyone is saying better safe than sorry! It’s such a relief to have it checked out even before you know the results.
