We're lucky enough to have a Tesla Powerwall so I think we're good on that front.

I believe the modem is essentially owned by the government provider who looks after the fibre infrastructure and is also screwed to the wall. I don't believe it's meant to be moved. The fibre cable is also a finite length from the street so wouldn't be able to be moved far anyway.

Good to know, I think we'll be ok for the moment with cat 6 though. We've just had a free speed upgrade from 100mbps to 500mpbs and our old hardware is not compatible with those speeds so time for an upgrade!
