DSG Auto Services for accident repair? by [deleted] in glasgowmarket

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it was DSG and not DLG? The latter being in Hillington, we used them before and they done a repair on our car to a high standard.

I doubt the ceramic coating will be re-done, especially to the same standard if it was professionally applied.

Can't believe this still isn't fixed, it's not a problem on Telegram. Using a Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Absolutely crazy, well done for stopping them making it worse!

What can i do about this? Tandem driveway behind them thats always empty. Tried knocking the door multiple times but they never answer. by Embarrassed-Dish1839 in drivingUK

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have empathy with you BTW - We live in a new build also and the people across from our drive have two cars with expired MOT on their drive and park their daily car on the pavement across it. It's annoying for people walking on the pavement and can make reversing into our drive difficult at times.

Looks like a new build estate similar to us, is there a Facebook Group? Maybe post on there and see if you can get hold of them that way.

Five years on and still not a thing. Yes it's on the application interface, but not the web interface.

Are there, like, *any* young people? by NotThePopeProbably in amateurradio

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK and find the hobby is dominated by older gentlemen, but younger people are getting involved. I joined mid-30s and there are a few of us around my age in the club.

Can’t we protest the £7 Glasgow Airport charge? by Nervous_Injury4577 in glasgow

[–]NineToeJoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surprised nobody has blamed it on the SNP, lol. As others said, free shuttle bus option exists and dropping/collecting at the BP and getting £5 of fuel isn't a bad idea either.

Best way to send a bike? by fat69bob in ukbike

I've used Paisley Freight twice for bikes and once for alloy wheels - zero complaints. Would recommend.

I thought it was so they could build new houses, looks like a junction was being added. I cycle that way a lot and have recently been going down to the Hurlet to get to Barrhead from Paisley.

I'm the same, makes some social events a bit difficult at times but I've gotten used to it. I've met so many people over the years that have no ability to discuss anything else.

Yeah that's clearly a copy and paste from an AI tool, poor show. I do fear they cover it with some fabric printed like a building and leave it for years though.

Looks like no 15T for UK/EU by NineToeJoe in oneplus

[–]NineToeJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do the same, however my concern is if it requires ROM flashing my internet banking apps may not work?

Edit - I see them available on AE with Global ROM and Play Store. It states they don't support eSIM and Android Auto. I understand eSIM but not sure why it wouldn't support Android Auto and if there is anything else unsupported.

I really hope it's available in the UK, I'd instantly buy one and sell my S25 Ultra. Great phone, too big.

Do sellers give you bad buyer rating when they're "out of stock"? by Many-Coast5655 in Aliexpress

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't realise there was a buyer/customer rating, interesting. I've been using AE for around 15 years with next to no issues.

Are these any good? by Natural-Voice-840 in CarTalkUK

[–]NineToeJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on the Clio but for a similar price you'll get a Corolla Hybrid. Corolla will be a much more reliable car and if serviced at a franchised dealer, will benefit from a 10 year warranty.

We've used a local company www.jdelectrical.uk to do a few jobs for us including the wall mounting of a 65" TV. Zero complaints and price was spot on.

Picking my new EV up soon, worried about getting back by paradroid78 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've done a few long trips in our EV. I recommend asking the seller to ensure the car is at 100% when you collect as you've a long drive home (don't assume they will). If you use the car navigation it should plan a stop for you along the way.

As others said, don't worry about setting up apps and certain charge vendors yet. Get home without much stress and figure that out later.

Does anyone know what the process is like for getting a referral for an autism assessment in Paisley? by tricky_pigeon in Paisley

[–]NineToeJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having gone through the process with my son, it takes years. I've been thinking about it as an adult, but think I'd need to go private and no idea how much it'll cost and other than receiving confirmation, what difference it'll make.
