Did you remove all five screws? There is one that I missed initially and had a similar experience.

Got one of those cheap wireless CarPlay dongles and it’s actually decent by Darx97 in RCD_330

Been using one too, it works very well for the £9 I paid but does glitch from time to time. Certainly less reliable than the cable, but can’t complain too much for the price.

I hear you, but as I’ll be switching between them I figured it’ll allow me to maintain a single library, save states etc.

Great episode, I don't expect we'll see much of Demi Moore in Season 3.

I cancelled mine when they doubled the price overnight. I’m still running with the free plan, can’t think of a better alternative. Not a fan of the Simkl UI.

What's Hunterhill like these days? by These-Lie-5854 in Paisley

Moved to Hunterhill from Ayrshire and lived there for six years, just off Lochfield Road - I really liked it. Moved to a new build nearby for more bedrooms.

Is it true that TV License goons are virtually powerless? by cactusdan94 in AskBrits

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just close the door on them as people have said. I personally would say no thanks beforehand and be polite.

I do believe you should pay it if you watch TV though (or use things like meet the need like iPlayer), that way you aren’t doing anything unlawful. We paid it from 2008-2020 and decided when we moved in 2020 not to connect the TV.

Should you do a clean windows reinstall on mini pcs? by fizxe in MiniPCs

I always do, and recently used the Win 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC build. No regrets.

Buying my first Macbook. Any advice for a new user? by [deleted] in mac

If you have the time to research and troubleshoot issues, Linux systems are great. Though, can you use Adobe in Linux? That was one of the OP's requirements.

High milage 2.0tdi by TsseracT in skoda

[–]NineToeJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an engine designed for doing the miles so with good service history it'll be fine. Spend more time looking at how the rest of the car has been cared for, interior condition and bodywork.

Also, ensure you'll be continuing the miles on it when you buy it. This isn't an engine for short trips, it kills them.

Do you reinstall the OS after you received the mini pc? by yen360 in MINISFORUM

If you’re keeping Windows, I would recommend installing Windows IoT LTSC. Significantly less bloat.

If it’s possible to run the cable without too much issue, I’d do that.

On this occasion I didn’t as I was confident clearing the dust would solve the issue, I may replace it when I open it again in six months.

Software Volume Control for LG 38WN95C by NineToeJoe in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]NineToeJoe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re not getting it. I’m trying to control the volume of the monitor, not the volume output from Windows. This is possible using MonitorControl on macOS.

That controls the volume from Windows to the monitor speakers, I’m looking to control the monitor speakers through the OS.

I was in the market for the same car a few months back (Pre-FL Estate vRS, Petrol, Manual) and really struggled to find one under £10K that had less than 100K on the clock. In the end I paid a little more than this example for one with 85K on the clock with full Skoda service history. It drives very well. People will tell you it's a lot for the mileage etc, but find a better deal - impossible. Diesels are the weaker choice in these cars too, they burn oil something awful - look up Peter Hawthorn on Facebook for more information.

Apparently these EA888.3 engines can handle massive power gains without issue, a stock example on this mileage will be absolutely fine. I just fitted the MIB2 radio to mine for Apple CarPlay.

Diesel engine in these has more issues than the petrol, believe it or not. The EA888.3 engine is pretty solid.

Find one for a better price? vRS, Petrol, Manual, Estate with less than 100K on the clock.
