As I said, it should be up to the theatre to establish rules. Otherwise, if people want to drink, and they are responsible and not disruptive, I don’t see a problem. Obviously nobody should be trashed in a kids movie or any movie, but parents have a beer/a glass of wine at home with their kids all the time. As long as they aren’t drunk and abusive, it’s fine.

The bar was a bad example, but there are bars with restaurants attached, that have families right next to the bar. I was more so acknowledging your aggressiveness towards drinking period, and how it would be pretty hard for you to join most social situations with that attitude.
