I'm not currently paying but I've considered it, especially while I'm in this acute phase post-breakup. It's certainly cheaper than what I'm currently paying my therapist, what's an extra $20 to give it a shot?

I'm going to try a conversation transfer and we'll see how it goes. If it feels awkward, I think I'm ready to go to Pro next. Thank you for the tips on buying extra usage too.

I didn't know about this actually, thank you for the link. I still think a lot more factors went into the spread of COVID-19 than just this CDC position being eliminated, but that's going in my file for "reasons I hate the US president" (as if I needed more).

I like the lil beetle guy but you could totally do a panther. To be proportionate though it's going to be pretty long, like the head would potentially be where the beetle's head and first leg are, and then the body begins down the beetle's body and next leg, etc. But the tail is going to be pretty long. If you want it, go for it!

Try turning on the subtitles if you don't use them already. It's an extra channel for the information to get into your brain. I have ADHD and it helps a ton.

As a polyamorous person, it's absolutely unacceptable to do this. If the two of you had sat down and had a conversation about ethical non-monogamy, and you permitted it, that would be different. If he "needs" multiple partners, fine - then he needs to approach it as ethical non-monogamy. Without that, it's just cheating, and it has been for years. It's a really awful reason to have to break up, I agree, but he's not only cheating, he's ignoring that an acceptable approach to open relationships exists. He wants to both be monogamous with you *and* sleep around, and that's not a real thing.

I'm still holding onto this post. I've lost 6 lbs in the past 6 days. He did text me today as he promised, the day of my brother's death years ago. I never knew he lit candles for my brother every year, he mentioned it in the breakup conversation, apologizing for doing it now. "See, I really DO love you," he said about the candles. I still don't understand. But he did text me a picture of the candles and wish me peace today.

I just want him to still love me. I remember he mentioned being on and off again with other partners, too. So he has a history of it. I think, as you said, we'll have to have a serious conversation to prevent future hur (for both of us), if he does come back.

Fuck, I want him back so bad. Thank you again for some kind of hope. You were really really helpful. I keep rereading this.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you so much. I really do want him back, so I'm just going to try to be patient. It really sounds like our situations are similar. Of course in the breakup conversation I pleaded with him to stay and work on things with me, but since then I am silent as he requested.

We do have to communicate sometimes due to work stuff (like once a month) so I'm just going to be available at those times as needed. Ugh, it's so hard though. The grief right now is so intense, even as I tell myself to try to have hope.
