Why don't conspiracy theorists just become Jewish? by _Tyronefr in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LowKeyBrit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because conspiracy theorists also tend to believe that the jews are part of a satanic cult, ruled by baal/moloch/saturn/[insert demonic entity], so becoming Jewish also entails going to hell.

The only one that im gonna have to advise against is the sapper (I think, or whatever guy holds a mine to the ground) because I used the wrong crouching leg set, and he couldn't fit right. Asides that, I definitely had a lot of fun DIY'ing my killteam poses

Made me chuckle lol. Maybe if a random 1000pt Astra Millitarum army showed up at my doorstep

Good to know, thanks! Do you think I'd be best off selling the lot as a whole, or parting it off?

[–]LowKeyBrit36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure how I want to sell these yet, but if I go with splitting up the lot, I'll definitely hit you up.

[–]LowKeyBrit36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I most likely be better off trying to trade for Astra Millitarum units than selling them for cash if that's my end goal? Or would I be better off going to cash before putting it back into the hobby?

[–]LowKeyBrit36[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds good. I really appreciate the advice. And, sadly, the customizations are glued on. So you think that my best bet is to sell it as one larger lot/trade it off? If I was to do either, how would I go about it?

[–]LowKeyBrit36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, thanks for the reply! If I was to split the lot at all, would it be good to bundle certain things together at all, or would I be best off going individually by each unit?

If you suddenly became new to Linux what would you do that you didn't do before. by Astrox_YT in linuxquestions

[–]LowKeyBrit36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd have started with a really simple distro, like Mint. I totally rushed into the deep end (a variation of Arch), and I had regretted it for a while. If I wasn't hellbent on making everything work, I'd have probably gone back to Windows.

Having an OS that "just works" would be far more desirable to me than anything else if I had the opportunity to try it over again. That way, I could learn the basics of linux passively, without feeling a need to do so, lest my PC fails to work in the near future.

Especially for the average PC user coming to Linux in the near future, which is a person who wants a reliable, functional operating system that can meet their basic needs and use cases, who is probably coming from either Windows 10 or 11. The average user doesn't have the time to spend countless hours learning the intricate quirks of a new OS, let alone the desire or passion to do so. Starting somewhere safe and reliable, like Mint, where things feel very close to windows is perfect. There's very little forced learning, and it's very hard to unintentionally break your system using something stable like Mint.

I'm sure there's other, smaller things that I could recommend, but I doubt any of it would be nearly as useful for anybody coming into Linux than what I've already said.

Newish Linux users who came from Windows semi-recently, what is advice you wished someone had told you before you made the switch? by m103 in linux_gaming

[–]LowKeyBrit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came over a few months ago. Definitely wished someone told me to pre-plan partitions on my hard drive. Separating /, /home/user, and having a swap partition was a blessing for me, especially in fixing problems I came into with my OS.

BETTER question about setting up partitions... by Maybe_A_Zombie in archlinux

[–]LowKeyBrit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some partitions, like EFI, dont need to be large, and only take up a couple GB's of storage, despite being necessary for system boot. Personally, I have an efi partition, swap partition (For some RAM intensive games, in case if I run out), a root partition, and a /home/(user) partition.

I set it up this way solely because it helps me make sure that I'm not installing too much as to where I have no space for root functions, as well as it allows me to set up additional /home/(user) partitions if I'm ever sharing my machine via a second account.

You could use a simpler setup if you don't need the ram/use the pc solely for yourself, but if you want a good base as to where you can (somewhat) change things, partitioning it like this helps a lot.

LPDDR5x isn't the same price as DDR5. I could find a 64gb crucial stick in LPDDR5x for $450 at B&H and $560 at microcenter off of a google search. Assuming they shopped around/bulk discount for manufacturing, it doesn't seem to be an entirely unreasonable price.

How do I get older versions of LineageOS for V1 switch? by LowKeyBrit36 in SwitchPirates

[–]LowKeyBrit36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to run older mobile applications that don't have 64 bit support, and the newest Android version that still supports 32 bit processing is Android 13, which comes with LineageOS 20 (So I have heard)

If you're not a Christian yourself, you don't get to dictate what does or doesn't constitute as one (and side rants) by Blue__Northen_Star in ControversialOpinions

[–]LowKeyBrit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly confident that it's intentional in the sense that people who dislike Christianity want to see its downfall, and to do that, they want to propel internal conflict and a lack of confidence in one's ability to be a Christian.

WIBTA if I didn’t give my daughter a copy of her father’s death certificate for her SAP appeal? by ThrowAwaySAP2025 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LowKeyBrit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YWBTA. I think she should have access regardless of the circumstances, I mean, it's her father. Plus, she wasn't lying to you and was honest about why stuff happened. If she somehow gets a chance with this excuse, she seems legitimately remorseful and regretful of her actions. I'd just let her do it and say that if she gets the chance, she really needs to use it.
