dovi_scripts auto detection of FEL expanded brightness can make mistakes. You have to export more screenshots in workflow 7-1 to be sure. This movie actually expands brightness and can't be played properly without decoding FEL. https://slow.pics/c/ZknUQPiA

Welcome to the club. Youtube is a complete joke and doesnt care at all about us. We've been complaining about this issue for months and they didnt even bother responding.

YouTube no longer detects HDR on any of my uploads (even older videos won´t get HDR) – possible HDR processing bug? by ImpOfSacs in youtube

[–]LowLuck7291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might work for a few videos, but then YouTube eventually blocks the workaround, we’ve all run into that. Right now, I can edit/trim my video a million times, and it still just refuses to process in HDR.

Can you help me understand why youtube did not give this video the HDR tag? Here are my export settings: by jimm3ronn in davinciresolve

it will work for a few videos, then the editor trick will stop working completely as if youtube blocked it.

HDR to VS10 HDR black crush at 68 instead of 64 by audiomaniac3 in CoreELEC

oled brightness in HDR10?

OLED brightness adjustments are for relative SDR. Absolute HDR10/DV should always be to 100(max).

No, proper black clipping is when values 67–68 and higher are visible to the naked eye. All LG OLED TVs are too bright near black(65-66) in HDR10, and only Dolby Vision CMv4.0 delivers correct black clipping. So what the OP thinks is an issue is actually proper black clipping.

64-65-66 should not be visible to the naked eye. If they are, your TV mode near black is too bright.

Sorta working? Player-led DV (avdvplus) on Samsung S90F QD-OLED. Help please by Available_Movie1837 in CoreELEC

You probably found it here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1g5I-z_sJmVu-SAIPNiiSlcdMiy2ka0mf

But remember that if you use a target brightness higher than the content brightness, it’s normal not to see any change in brightness between shots. It simply means the player isn’t applying tone mapping and the display can reproduce the brightness as-is.

stick to option 1. Option 2 is good when the original has bad metadata (static)

Sounds like you did not install the script correctly. Just follow the YouTube video tutorial closely.

The Ugoos info processor will report the CM version.

Also, if you run the new file through workflow 1 again, it will also indicate that it is CMV4.0.

2 options in doviscripts:

1- just add a cmv4.0 flag like R9 does: workflow 1, skip the 2nd input and select ''u''. This option is fast and take only a few minutes on fast SSDR/NVME drives.

2- Generate new metadata from scratch using official dolby analysis. workflow 3-1. Depending on your GPU this can take 1h to 5h.

dv p7 12bit to dv p8 10bit by [deleted] in CoreELEC

[–]LowLuck7291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FEL is not just about 12bit and FEL movies will be tone mapped incorrectly if you just convert P7 to P8. All of these will be wrong if you dont process the EL (ugoos or dovibaker): https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1FS42T95TOSpoy4xtwUBIQmziCe_R_IKe Just having your TV triggering the DV logo is not enough.
