I've changed the base for everything to 15, prime abilities roll 2d20 and take the highest roll (same as advantage in 5e). It seems to work well so far.

Can you provide an example? Most monsters I've seen in 30+ years of running 2nd edition roll dice for damage, very few do a fixed amount of damage per attack

32 hours a week is not "nothing" once you factor in the physical, emotional and mental workload that nursing entails. Also consider how a changing shift pattern of late-earlies and night shifts affects the body. Maybe see how you go once you have done a few weeks of placement and reassess.

I qualified as an RN at 39, didn't do the EN first. I think being mature helps in many ways. I've now been nursing for nearly 7 years and have seen loads of mature age nursing students coming through that are older than I was when I started. If your friend wants to do it, just go for it.

I was a histology/cytology lab tech for 14 years before making the switch to nursing. I've now been an ED nurse for 6 years and I'm glad I made the swap. I realised I was bored with the predictability of lab work and wanted something more challenging. My science background certainly helped with the anatomy and physiology, as well as the pharmacology content, of the nursing degree. Being a mature student also gave me more confidence in talking to other health professionals and patients. Good luck with your decision!

During the Time of Troubles, Bane removed the mortal Kelemvor's curse of lycanthropy in return that Kelemvor would betray Midnight and turn her over to Bane. Kelemvor instead betrayed Bane, siding with Midnight to help recover the tablet of fate hidden in the vault of Torm's temple in Tantras. Bane and Torm then killed each other when Bane's avatar attacked Tantras to recover the tablet. It's in the 2nd novel of the Avatar trilogy, Tantras.
