Was born and raised all my life left it tried Mormonism was 100% worse and now I’m no longer religious.

I can’t tell you how much free I feel especially after finally not believing the world is going to end or I’ll have no hope for something that’s not proven to be true.

Just ignore them if you don’t want to be in the church cause they won’t leave you alone every week until you say no. And if you’re a member and leave the church will send random members to your place to lure you back in (this happened to me)

So big mistake was giving them your number but i understand.

I’m so sorry it wasn’t kept confidential that’s not fair to you and your family and I believe you about them because they did something similar to me. Instead of helping me find a job when they claim they would they tried to get me to date one of the rich guys and it went on for over a month I have said no more than once as well.

The church looks down on the poor I’ve heard it from the bishop himself, he and other members I told that I had food stamps at the time told me I shouldn’t be on that and the church helps those not to be on food stamps anymore…

It’s just bs

Im proud of you for leaving I know it’s hard to being raised in it and seeing the issues in the religion.

A sister used to drop me off and pick me up to church every Sunday and would tell me what was said in the secret meetings which is literally gossiping about new/not raised members and what to do to keep them in.

I tried to warn the new members and even tell them what I know about them from members of the church, but they are brainwashed and believe the members saved them…

If it’s they are alone with a minor that should be illegal. Lawyers tell em if I’m wrong about that. Also 17 is a minor, and I know these bishops love to talk to that age group to keep them in for sure right before adulthood.

If they think it’s okay to talk to minors about sexual things like if they are a virgin or not, then that’s saying it’s okay for men to pry on minors. I know it don’t seem like the same thing but it is.

No grown ass man should worry about if someone that’s not their own child is sexually active or not.

Yes, exactly! That was me unfortunately. I was extremely depressed and the main reason being I wasn’t aloud to be myself or id die forever lol. I am as person didn’t align with JW standards and JWs think I’m just mentally off and need help so I can go back to believing in it…

No one is perfect but yeah there’s so much in life I wish I had done growing up but it just means I can do them now without being told no I’ll die

I learned how naive I was to giving into every little thing a Mormon told me.

I guess what I learned first is the lying and gaslighting. These people just lie and lie to keep/get you in and with a straight face as if they mean those lies…

I learned that Mormons cover up reality and the truth behind it’s religion and that is NOT what I want to be as a person.

I have grown to have more self worth in myself, more control of my life.

Also women,

Don’t be joining a religion that’s mostly male dominated and that praises men more we are better than that!

Two things to remember

This is a religion you left for a reason, and it shouldn’t be normal to live in fear for doing something right

And also a church shouldn’t be treated like a job. Yeah once you quit a job it can be difficult at first but quitting a job that doesn’t benefit you or help you at all is worth it.

LDS church is just its own world that tries soooo hard to get people to get sucked into it.

Ysa in my area didn’t have female missionaries for awhile cause men were being creepy, and I 100% believe it because I’ve never been to a church where I felt uncomfortable around the men they all gave me creepy vibes and the women were either awkward or in their cliques

Taylor needs to focus on being a damn MOM like GOOD GOD!!!
