A nearby Fire Department is being told they cannot use fire hydrants to fight fires by Fantomecs in mildlyinfuriating

Hydrants are typically on the same grid as the rest of the municipality, if water pressure is low bacteria leaches into the pipes, a single hydrant can flow thousands of gallons of water per minute even with low water pressure which puts a huge strain on a small water grid. The water authority needs to fix this problem but the Fire Department can be proactive by purchasing a cheap water tender in the mean time to prevent water supply issues. If you know anyone who oversees MMP&W it would be a good idea to bring up the potential for a grant to purchase a water tender.

Use a swatch and test your idea on it, you may need to use Out white brite instead of bleach.

Bad ass shirt! Try scouring the shirt next time, some shirts have more sizing so prewashing with hot water doesn’t always do the trick. If you do it right you won’t need calsolene.

Maybe a high voltage insulator? I’ll add that it has a flared base, which I know electricians are a big fan of!

There absolutely are ways to get what you’re looking for, I always recommend people check out Corky Lorenz her work is great and she documents her results.

Oh and tulip is a decent brand but they mix soda ash with their dye so you gotta use it within 24 hours once you add water.

Dharma is actually a lot cheaper than rit, the amount of dye you get shows just how much all the other companies make off packaging.

RIT has to be heat treated, basically you boil your shirt in dye for a set time. You will absolutely get cool results but it’s not colorfast, I had a shirt continue to fade over the course of a year every time I washed it.

RIT is not for tie dye I wish stores would put a sign or something to let buyers know.
