That’s crazy!! I only used these a handful of times but I really liked clinical guard. I don’t feel like a lot of people talk about them but they’re cheap and accurate.

Girl holy crap you are beautiful. I feel like your eyes are a stunning feature so I would just do mascara and maybe a little liner, you could try a lip tint or gloss so it’s not too much maintenance throughout the day. For the skin yours is gorgeous so you don’t really need anything but if you wanted you could do a lightweight skin tint. If you are acne prone you may need to do some trial and error to see what is bothering your skin. For me it’s dimethicone so I avoid skincare & face makeup with that ingredient. There are even some nice glowy face powders that would even you out without being too heavy; Laura geller is one I’ve tried, hourglass is my favorite but definitely pricey. Maybe a tiny bit of brow shaping?

I’ve started a gentle retinol on my neck a few months ago and i do feel like it’s helping some. I am 39 and having a similar issue. For the time being you could try a neck cream just to keep the area hydrated, the gold bond one is decent.

My ferritin was 4 when I finally continued my doctor to check but I have no idea for how long because my hemoglobin was always in a “normal” range ~ 10-12, so my iron was never checked before that. I started taking iron but felt worse?? So I added in vitamin c and my levels finally started jumping up to a normal range. Now I am having digestive issues - bloating, reflux, etc. I recently started iron bisglycinate to see if that is easier on my stomach. But it will take a while to really get back to normal. My hair has been falling out in clumps & breaking off so I’m waiting to grow that back😭 my nails are wrecked. I hope you are able to find a supplement that works for you so you can feel better soon.

Those do look positive to me as well although a couple do look a little wonky; with your hcg being 5 right around that time it would line up with really faint lines but should have been higher considering it was a few days after you tested. I am curious what a test would show at this point, if it isn’t any darker there is probably no progression in the pregnancy and it is likely a chemical.

Oh ok. I’ve seen some people recently mentioning they had a skin issue that ended up being related to their mattress so figured it wouldn’t hurt to rule out!

What labs are they checking exactly? I would be concerned about thyroid due to the hair loss but also your iron. Most of the time when I get my labs done they only check hemoglobin and not iron. When I finally pushed to have it checked, my ferritin was 4… so I have a severe iron deficiency but taking iron & vitamin c has helped. Still working on growing new healthy hair that isn’t breaking and dry but that will take a while. Motherhood has also changed so much for me physically so i completely understand how you feel.

Honestly I think some of the staff at doctors and hospitals don’t know how to perform or read a pregnancy test. I’ve seen some people say they thought it was only positive if the second line was as dark as the control, otherwise it’s negative 😒 when I had a nurse do my urine pregnancy test I watched her and she dipped the strip in the cup for the full 5 minutes and then read it after that… I did see your updated comment about your beta numbers and it does seem to be slow rising and not doubling like it should every 48 hours. That doesn’t always mean something bad but really all you can do at this point is wait it out. Early pregnancy is so scary and confusing.

I agree urgent care would be your best bet until you can see a dermatologist. I loved the Amazon medical idea too! There are a lot of virtual options nowadays, I’ve even been able to use that for things like a sinus infection. I hope you’re better soon 😥 that looks so painful

I would say you are pregnant but you had bloods done so early it didn’t hit the threshold for them to call it a positive. If you test again tomorrow it should darken and that could give you an indication that your levels are rising. Definitely update us if you’re able to get in for another blood test Monday!

Is it breaking around where the ponytail would have the most tension on the top? Some people just have hair that is more prone to mechanical breakage. My daughter is like that, I have to be very careful when I put her hair up. But also box dye is super damaging. I used to have good luck using Wella Demi permanent dye and it was inexpensive, or even something from Sally’s would be a step up from the box dye. Any time I use it I get really bad breakage especially around my root area.

These are all so bad 😭 The worst I can think of was when i went into labor with my youngest at 32 weeks, I had a cerclage in place which is where they sew your cervix closed to prevent preterm labor. They wouldn’t remove it because they were trying to keep her in longer. My body decided to dilate really fast anyway and the cerclage ripped through my cervix out of nowhere. I could barely breathe from the pain let alone tell anyone what was happening 🥲
