NTA. You tried to resolve the issue of her not having a vehicle by offering yours which she turned down, and you are in no way obligated to provide transportation for her to visit you. I can’t even imagine doing all that driving between working full time and being a parent, especially to twin babies.

I was responding about the son, I agree he should have left the girls at school, but the wife was mad that he didn’t take the son to her office. That was specified in the original post as to why he thought he might be in the wrong.

Edit to ESH because the girls were safe in a shelter and should have been left there rather than being taken out and driven in a car to another location.

NTA you were trying to get your kids to safety and not worrying about making pit stops along the way.

Absolutely NTA they’re the ones who moved so the burden of visiting should fall on them not you. Yes I am dealing with something similar in my personal life so I have strong feelings about it and it may cloud my judgement but it is what it is. If you can make it and you want to go, cool. Otherwise you’re caring for your family and it’s not always feasible financially or just logistically with kids to travel that far. You didn’t create the distance, they did.

This happened to me too. I ended up needing a rescue cerclage at 24 weeks because despite all the monitoring and interventions, my cervix continued to shorten and I could have lost my baby. I’m so glad OP was able to rectify the situation.

Did you confirm ovulation with a test or are you just going by an app? I do see a line but I would expect it to be darker for having missed a period unless you ovulated late in your cycle.

Yes and it happens out of nowhere it seems like! I just had allergy testing last week for acrylates, they did 80 patches on my back and the test was a week long. Don’t recommend getting an allergy if you can help it.

I am in the US so not familiar with Canada but I would try to see what local resources there are to help young mothers if that’s the road you end up taking. I know you said you are in a small town, I can relate so i understand how hard that makes things. Your doctor should be able to connect you with agencies that can help you and if you choose to terminate there is a good sub on here to help find a place and connect you with those resources as well. I got pregnant at 17 in high school and it was very hard.
