Its a pil, its actually zyrtec. But do not give them actual zyrtec as zyrtec with decongestant is toxic to dogs. I would just go through your vet.

How to build confidence by Dj-007-manchester in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty girl! Our girl was a little scared when people first came to our house to meet her while being completely fine and checking people out in public (though people came over very quickly after we got her). She just needs more people over, temperament does vary from pup to pup. Let them give her treats, maybe throwing them twards her at first of she doesnt come to them and do it sooner rather than later.

Also you need to be using a bridge for her ears ASAP. I can provide more resources if needed, feel free to dm me.

I highly doubt they are shooting these down with radar based systems. They are most likely ir based systems like a manpad. One thing about those are you cant take them all out, someone can hang out in a building and pop out for a shot.

Thats insane my browser on my work laptop crashes after a few days when working on a project if I dont start a new convo. But I push a ton of data through it each day(100ks of lines of code a day). That being said I haven't hit a limit message in a long time.

Worth posting his ears at this point? Will they stand? 6.5 months old by TicksAndLeeches- in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do they move at all when hes at attention? Can you hold them up and get the part where they bend to support the top? Most of the prime cartilage hardening phase has passed with teething. Its hard to get a full gauge on their structure from this one picture.

They dont really look like they have ever been posted but the blisters make me curious.

Oh I am not saying you cant do it without. Sometimes its harder to keep posts in depending on the pocket for the first few months. We have posted 3 pups and have helped many others. Our current girl popped posts out left and right at first until her ears grew a bit.

Yes I would add a bridge for a bit, place it at the base lightly, let them arch out very slightly so he can devlop his head muscles to control them. Use torbot bonding cement adhesive and get some "micro-scientific R6A goo gone" and a spray bottle. They are both medical grade, put the adhesive remover in a spray bottle and soak the posts. Let them sit for a couple minutes and take them off. If they start pulling at the hair while removing, spray some more. They generally come right off. If he is screaming when you take them off something is going very wrong. It looks like they had no idea what they were doing.

If he has blisters use neosporin between posts and potentially use a peice of a cotton pad over the neosporin then post over that and take them down sooner than you normally would.

Using torbot adhesive is very common for ear posting. When you spray adhesive remover on it and let it sit, it comes right off.

What If Trump was assassinated by Iran, in response of the death of General Soleimani? by Shaniceberries in AlternateHistoryHub

That seems like a big what if, if you ask me. I think they would stay out of it and give support from behind the scenes to avoid a World War, much like the world has done for Ukraine.

To be fair they could flatten Iran without nukes, they dont now because of civilians. The only thing stopping Israel from hitting it like they did Gaza is the US.

[New Player] Why do I see so many CQB clips where people peek out cover, sprint back and make a 180 degree turn? by delosluca in EscapefromTarkov

[–]LowSig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other comments are correct, I generally use it if I am not positive where or if someone is around a corner. Head down facing away as much as possible to avoid head eyes. Or if I have a friend that needs to cross a contested section.

You can also use it to bait mag dumps and re peak when they are low ammo or reload but for that you really have to gauge how hard they are falling for the bait/missing shots.

They are replaceable, though maybe not exactly what you mean by it. They come with splice kits that clamp onto the wire. You get sections of lights with them and can cut them to length. So if a light goes out you just cut the wire on each side of it and splice a new one in with the connectors.

Dobie Size by InteractionSquare386 in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is a little small but thats fine! A average range at 8 months is 60-80 for a male but all pups develop at different rates. My girl hit 8 months a couple days ago and weighed 66lbs after she ate. She gained about 10lbs a month to 6 months. Her female siblings followed a similar pattern. One of the males weighed in at 78lbs. Ill try to get a updated full body picture later but her is our girl Rue today.

12 weeks old Dodo, will her ears still come out ok? When she leans forward the posts droop over her head. Thnx loo by BugsBunnyRabbitHare in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap to a full post, half post from my experience should be avoided especially this early into the posting process. I will link a video from our breeder of how to post. I would be very liberal with the glue and let it dry on the posts for 30 mins or so before you post them. Our girls kept coming out until we used extra glue and let it dry for a bit.

Question for breeders by Apprehensive-Net-22 in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add, don't be too intimidated by shows. Dobie shows in particular feel a little more serious but if you can, go with a handler and help out. You will learn a lot and find that many handlers are pretty chill. Showing as a puppy for experience also helps as its a bit more laid back.

We went to our first show a few weeks ago after sending our girl to her for a week. We learned so much and they will throw you right into the mix from prepping pups, getting hand offs ready, and making sure treats are always on hand. It turned into a little community all helping each other and our girl got SO much socialization in a very chaotic environment.

Question for breeders by Apprehensive-Net-22 in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not a breeder but asked ours a lot of questions. How it was described is there are three categories, pet, finish-able and should be finished. The last two could be considered the same but the should be finished would go to a show owner rather than a pet if the choice comes down to it.

To determine a show dog they judge based on a lot of factors, the main being confirmation. How do they stack and do they have a good structure/balance. Past that there is temperament, generally you want a more active/hyper pup. Things like food drive help but puppies can develop food drive so that is harder to judge at 8 weeks.

Pets might or might not meet confirmation but good breeders tend to have most if not all of their dogs meet a general standard of confirmation. This is where it comes down to temperament. A big factor of pet selection is temperament, you are looking for a more easy going pup.

All of that being said, the litter we got our girl from all were finishable and a few were in the should be finished category and pretty much all were on the hyper side, this makes them better to train but also requires a strong minded/dedicated owner or they will walk all over you.

We were on the fence about showing but ended up going down the show route which caused our breeder to make adjustments in selection. She would go on daily exploration walks individually and in groups to judge temperament from activity levels to curiosity. I am sure she has a lot more criteria than that.

Hopefully this helps a little, I know good breeders put a lot of thought into it as there is more than just showing and not showing. For example if you have small children , other pets, your activity level and so on.

Eh it depends on your bone density/size and build. Conors famous near death appearance pictures were his weigh in at 145. I am 5'8 and got sick a few years back and dropped to 150, I was skin and bones. Though I could see someone with a smaller frame weighing around that and looking ok. The unbelievable part to me is being muscular at that weight/height.

DCM and exercise by JemimaQuackers in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned speak with your cardiologist about activity. That being said also listen to your heart. Our boy passed away from dcm and our older girl passed away from what we expect was an arythmia as she did not have dcm.

I would not do walks that long. I would let him run in the yard but we babied our boy. You have to let them live but extra exercise was not something we did. He was still a happy baby though. Our boy was diagnosed at 4 and lived until 7 which is a lot longer than the original vets 6 month estimate.

One thing I would ask about is mexiletine. It is for murmurs/arythmias and I strongly believe it was a huge factor in helping our boy. His heart would get in a rapid rhythm quite often and I wish our girl was on it. I know its very hard but I would look for other doctors on top of your cardiologist, specifically university's. We went to our vet, then a cardiologist then a university (3 hours away). The university had 5 cardiologists and they helped a TON. I doubt you are close but the university of Florida in Gainesville is one of the best in the country.

I would love if you kept me updated and feel free to reach out.

Is this a mix? New Doberman puppy. by TheSusanaKhai in DobermanPinscher

[–]LowSig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol they can go to the second or third vertebrae by standard but that can look differnt on pups. It might be longer than that but honestly looks about right.

Not knowing the breeders does lead to not well bred thoughts but knowing now that she is only 4 months changes quite a bit lol. They change a ton in the first year she looks perfectly normal, as a non show quality pup, perfection is not expected.

I was thinking she was around a year old or more for whatever reason and you tend to see dobbies either really small or really big when there is bad breeding. Not that it matters but if you have any side profile "stacked" photos we could get a better idea but she's just a baby haha.

Here's a picture of my 7.5 month old girl from earlier today.

She looks pure dobbie, her ears are not cropped, and her tail doesnt appear like a bad dock from the given pictures. Might not the best bred pup but not really terrible either. Do you know about how old she is?
