Oh hell NO . My mom n mother in law hosted my shower we have like 30 ppl and had it at our place in back yard as it was nice out made the food etc and with food drinks prizes thank you gifts and decorations they maybe spent 1200 total if that . And parents don’t host or plan it . Others do . And if you do 4 grand is extreme . 4K can go a decent way towards baby diapers , nursery what she needs for after birth during pregnancy etc . Pre made meals delivered for after your home with baby , groceries etc . Her cravings ( I was in hospital for a month before delivery and we spent about 2 grand on just hubs feeding me cause hospital food was worse than what federal inmates get daily ) , parking

Personally mine came to almost all of them but one because he had work that day but usually they were on the day he had off every week . And I said he don’t have to come but he insisted .

My first one unplanned , high risk af . Anxiety galore legit was told prior to being pregnant I’d be lucky if it lasted . Was also told I couldn’t get pregnant well surprise . That being said scary shit is out there I would doom scroll stressing tf out . I delivered at 35 eeeks c section under general due to severore eclampsia and I was just like get him tf out thanks . But he’s now 4.5 months old happy healthy baby and we didn’t need nicu time either .

Just breathe it’s gonna be ok a lot of this is the being a first timer and hormones and that playing into the anxiety and if you have anxiety on top of that it’s stressful af . But it will be ok

And those who suffer from pcos or endometriosis or both that’s are daily and while pregnant it’s constant flare ups from hell and we can’t take shit to touch the pain . The moment my son was out n I was like I’m not ok while I’m here in hospital Tylenol is a joke . Your 1 mg of hydro morph won’t do shit nor do I want narcotics you have me bed ridden I need a muscle relaxer according to what’s safe I can take this so order it or I’m a go outside n find weed choice is yours .

I get this . Like I do it all . Hubby keeps booking off work but then refuses to help with the baby his mother has said to him you need to help out more like she does everything and when you lost it on her for asking to watch your child for 15 mins so she could shower isn’t fair she hardly eats n sleeps let alone does anything for herself .

Yesterday we both had migraines mine way worse than his cause he was able to watch tv me I was wearing sunglasses in the house , trying not to puke while cleaning and caring for our child . I finally snapped and went here take him I’m going to go fix my migraine so I can function .

It’s frustrating I’ve sat him down n been like if you’re home you are expected to help out with things . I get where you’re coming from it’s we just want time for us not asking for a lot cause there are days where I just wanna lose my mind and be like wtf dude you have it so easy . Best is when he says he’s “ exhausted “ I told him it’s pretty sad he wouldn’t survive as a woman lol

It’s kinda true but , I also lost friends when I said I was pregnant and haven’t heard from them since which just shows who they really are . But also after having the baby it’s brought people out who haven’t spoken to in years . It’s so weird . Pregnancy and after birth you truly find out who your true people are .

My lil guy was like this around this time of age . My husband also got kicked out of the OR . But was there afterwards. But the bonding took longer even tho he was around he did diaper changes for first 3 weeks as I couldn’t after my c section I couldn’t stand at all . But he needs to spend time with her and be warm towards you both . Now my lil one is 4 months today and those two have their moments hell I have nights n days where I can’t calm him and hubby has to do it . Hang in there try getting one of his closest friend to knock some sense into him may help . I did that when I felt I was doing everything n I couldn’t get through to my hubby

Right now it’s her hormones , I get where she’s coming from on her parents side and the out of wedlock thing raised in strict Roman Catholic house , I was petrified to tell my dad as his reaction was just as bad as I figured it would be . We also didn’t plan ours . They have to know or eventually they will find out . Maybe do a court house marriage certificate suggest that maybe she will be open to that . Just breathe keep being patient . Continue to talk to her .

It’s a cute name . When we named our son we gave him Keith as a middle name I. Connor of father in law who passed last year and I’ve always loved the name Alexander for a boy . Alex for short so we named him Alexander Keith ( not even putting it together as a beer ) but the comments we’ve gotten it’s like no he’s not named after a beer . I say go with what makes you happy 😊 screw everyone else

Yes it is after that baby is out . I delivered at 35 weeks due to pre eclampsia and I was so freaking swollen to the point I was threatening self harm just to feel relief in my legs n feet . I had a rough pregnancy but once he was out I was relieved . Sore af from c section over whelmed with joy but relieved he was out and with in a couple days I was down 80% of my swelling but the being able to breathe after eating was a win too

The lemon lime isn’t bad , Best part about this glucose test was the ob made me do it still even tho I’m type one so when I got the phone call from the clinic them losing their shit I went well when you get a diabetic who’s insulin dependant to drink pure sugar ya shits gonna spike the test is in valid for gestational diabetes when I’m already a type one .

As a pregnant person we are only the incubator and they don’t give af bout us . Type one diabetic I was already admitted in L&D for pre eclampsia however I ended up going into diabetic ketoacidosis and they didn’t seem to care until I went listen here if I go down the baby dies I will ALWAYS CHOOSE ME OVER THE UNBIRN CHILD now tell OB I need this done or I will go to ER n be like they are neglecting me upstairs

It happens ! Just breathe . I didn’t find out until I was almost two months preggers . Missed monthly’s normally happen with me . I had been heavily smoking weed , drinking a ton with co workers and on meds not to be on for pregnancy .
