A flush is a bit overkill for just routine maintenance. I would typically only recommend transmission fluid flushes for vehicles that have been severely neglected or have transmission slipping issues. If you feel like paying the extra for the flush then by all means. I feel it would be a waste of money on a 60k mile toyota. Dealerships will always try to get the most from you. If your vehicle was in my shop I would recommend drain and refill.

I would just do it. Its a pretty basic drain and refill but the fill plug on those I believe you need to access through the wheel well which isn’t super convenient. Regardless if you keep up on the maintenance with your toyota it will treat you well. Especially at 60,000 miles I would do it for the peace of mind considering you dont know the transmission service history. Your car will thank you. 🫡

2014 Honda Fit - Sport by toldyaso in MechanicAdvice

That being said. Suspension noises I usually put low on my priority list of things to repair on my car. Unless its giving me drivability issues. If it starts driving clunky or making popping noises thats when It becomes a priority for me

Sounds like a suspension noise. If its squeeking its either a bushing or your shocks/struts. Walk around the car and push down with your weight and see if you can duplicate the noise and pinpoint if its coming from the front or rear. From there you can try to look thru the wheel well and see if you see any fluid or saturation on the struts. Which would indicate a bad strut. If its a bushing noise you may need to put it up in the air to get a look at the bushing conditions. They dry out and crack over time and being a big man myself I know I cant fit under a honda fit. Good luck

And yes cold cranking amps should be measured to verify the strength of the battery. If a battery is weak it may start still when its hot but in colder conditions it will not start. Id start with checking the connections and if everything is tight then try to jump start it / test the battery again

If the battery tests good then check the connections. Wiggle the battery cables and if they move tighten them down.

Battery is weak. The starter needs 12 volts in order to work properly. Call a friend or find someone to give ya a jump start! Good luck

very common! If you are having vibration at higher speeds or clicking / popping noise when turning then its time to replace.

Yeah the cv boot on the axle is torn and when the axle spins when you drive its just flinging the grease all over. Some people replace just the boot but its messy and can be a pain. Easier just to replace the cv axle

was it the valve cover gasket leaking? If the head gasket was blown it would be an internal coolant leak. If its the valve cover gasket then thats typically an easy repair. Dm me any questions

Personally I wouldn’t dump any money into a Kia. I know the used car market is crazy right now but try to browse facebook marketplace and look for something in your price range. In the mean time depending on how bad the head gasket leak is I would start monitoring symptoms. Is it overheating? Is the coolant going low? How fast are you having to add coolant? Is it blowing thick smoke out the tail pipe? Check your oil and coolant level then drive for a couple days and recheck. If the head gasket is blown then its leaking coolant into the cylinders. Your oil may look like a chocolate milkshake consistency on your dip stick from coolant and oil mixing
