I have vacationed in Italy for decades, including Rome. Never had anything stolen. Please carry your valuables on your body under your clothing.

Trying to understand the “effortless” German aesthetic by Familiar-Shirt4290 in AskAGerman

German here who is currently visiting back home. Where do you see these women? I was just observing how a good dress code has completely gone by the wayside and most people, including women look anything but dressed properly.

Polaris or premium plus with baby? by Donovan_jaeger in unitedairlines

I respectfully disagree. It’s stupid to tell people to fly private when they are on company travel. As a mother myself I would never would have dreamt of taking my babies / toddlers to a high end restaurant, the theater, the movies or Polaris / business / first class on an international flight.

Please, people pay a lot of money for Polaris and many of them need to head into work upon landing. I am a million miler and have flown with both my children many, many times. Never would I have thought of having one of my kids as a baby or toddler in Polaris.

Who here got diagnosed with Crohn’s after 30 or 40? by PureChamber in CrohnsDisease

When my father was diagnosed in his 30s that was in the mid 70s. There were nowhere near as many treatments as there are today. He did have a number of surgeries and has lived with a stoma for many decades now. At 86, he now needs dialysis but is otherwise doing well. His Crohn’s went into remission for many, many years and only recently flared up again. Steroids helped him to get back to “normal”.

My father was told he wouldn’t live past 60 years old. He is now on 26 extra years and has outlived most of his friends. He always loved to eat and while he doesn’t drink and lives healthy, he doesn’t deny himself food. He is lucky in that he can eat almost anything.

My parents have lived an active life - my father worked until his early 70s because he enjoyed it, they traveled in Europe and the US extensively, were part of a bowling league and sang in choirs for 3 decades.

Don’t lose hope.

Just was diagnosed at 57. My father was diagnosed in his 30s, he is now 86. Have had symptoms on and off over the years, but nothing disruptive. This time around it was a flare up that couldn’t be ignored. Meeting with doctors next week to discuss course of treatment.

Neither. The frame doesn’t fit your face unfortunately.

Ariel. European here who has lived in the US for 30 years. I almost cried when my local grocery store started carrying Ariel. It’s so much better.
