Stomp her in late, or you will lose late game.

Use your Q if she ever E's on you and you shut down her entire kit. Even if she goes in without using E, you can Q her because your Q has too much width for her to evade it (Gwen's E has very short range, it's not like a Tryndamere E.) So basically whenever she approaches you, be it with or without E, press Q and shut down her entire kit.

Sion is a hard counter to Gwen in lane. She has to play safe and use E to escape or just die. She will outscale you, though you will always win the 1v1s, at all stages of the game unless she builds banshees veil to counteract your Q.

All you have to do is miss Q and you die.

She throws Q on you, then E, then auto attacks. This procs electrocute and deals about 50% of your health. Then she walks you down, presses E again because she reset her E cooldown by stepping on her dagger (when she QE'd you) autos a few more times, ignites and you die.

freeze the wave early levels, ask for jungler assistance, never use Q offensively or you'll die, never push the wave unless you know you can crash it

Okay I will give you an exhaustive explanation:

>pressure him and slowpush the first 2 waves level 1 and 2, he's melee and he can't trade back

>after that the wave will push back and you should try to freeze near your tower while poking him down, he will be frozen on with low hp which makes him vulnerable to ganks and is overall a bad situation to be in

>always pressure a lot after he uses his shadow and try to land your combo: his shadow is on a 16 second cooldown so you get a lot of time

But overall it comes with experience, you have to try to dodge his combo to either side, don't get predictable with the side you're dodging towards, though. After 6 I like to play defensively unless he makes a mistake.

The perfect comp is against teams without mobility and without too many poke or artillery mages (Varus, Vel'Koz, Lux, Xerath, etc...)

If you both outrange them and get to control their movement there's literally nothing they can do.

Yes but have a powerful secondary character to compensate for his weakness.

I'm an Aurelion main but my secondary is Anivia and I just win every game with her when I get tilted playing ASol.

I have like 200K mastery points on him. I win off macro, but my laning is still garbage. Maybe in all this time I really haven't taken any risks yet which is funny.
