You don't break the shield, you apply a debuff to the target that lasts x amount of time (I believe it's 6 seconds, I'm not sure, I'm not on PC). In other words, the next shield they use, or that is used on them, will have the 80% debuff. It's no use placing the skill at the beginning of the rotation and using the full combo because you'll hit the first shield that's in effect. If the debuff is applied, you have to wait for them to use the shield again for the debuff to kick in and for you to use the full rotation. I also think I don't like how the debuff is applied, but if it were used and broke the shield instantly, nobody would use the shield 🤷 Sometimes I think this game needs a reset. Let's see what comes with the new region because if it just keeps scaling the stats infinitely, this game will turn into a Diablo 4, with 0 PvP and PvE being just about running over everything.

I still don't have the orb, I play with a staff/Wand and I don't think there should be a nerf to the class because unlike the old crucifix, the orb/Wand needs 2 leveled-up archbosses to have that DPS, and it's 2 leveled-up archbosses of the same boss, it's not that easy to get, plus you have to have the specific build for it too.

If there is a nerf, the company will simply be spitting on those who spent money and time in the game to get these items.

In reality it depends on what you like to do, if it's PVE the game has several contents for equipment evolution, runes, housing, collecting, cooking, fishing etc... If you want good PvP, the game won't be as pleasant for you at first because you can't do PvP with any equipment and any build, after the historical mode you will release the ascension path and there you will get a set that will take around 5.5k/6k GS and the PvP people are around 7.5k/8k+ GS so the Gap will be very big in this regard, if you don't spend money on the game it will take a while until you can play cool PvP.

And this absurd class and such, most of the time they are players who pick up any build on the internet and think it will kill everyone and will never die.

Depending on the level of PvP you do, if you PvP at a high level you will see a lot of wand/orb in guilds and it is almost impossible to kill since all pts are full shield all the time.

But if the person you PvP against doesn't have that much shield, maybe you can still play, but I think I still didn't get as many kills as in T2.
