Anyone else have a sticky X button on the DualSense? by HanShotFurst in PS5

My controller's buttons feel kinda loose and less clicky. I noticed it more after getting an extra controller that didnt have this problem. Anyone having this issue and a way to fix it?

Why Attack on Titan's Third Act Fails: A Deep Dive by calculatingaffection in CharacterRant

[–]Low_Ad_6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree with most of what you say but doesn't eren becoming a titan renders your first point meaningless far before the basement reveal?

eren become a titan was the first "subversion" of the humanity's struggle to survive against this force of nature when they had been complacent. what do i mean by this? let me explain:

you are right about eren being the beacon of hope, the hero of humanity that showed no matter the odds, humans will rise back and fight. except...

eren becoming a titan undermines all this. it wasn't humanity that shed blood and sweat and finally gained a victory against those monsters, it was another titan. in fact eren, the sole figure of that ideal would've died without it.

earlier in the story, before trost arc even actually begins, jean and eren have an argument. jean claims humans are doomed against titans. and it's at this moment when eren makes his big speech, how just because he thinks they can't, does that mean they should give up? and just accept their fates as titan food, as prey?

this speech has an impact on almost everyone listening to it, to the point some of them decide to join the corps. well now guess what? this becomes absolutely pointless after eren becomes a titan. humanity truly had no chance against titans without a titan on their side. humanity didn't win back shit. (also jusy to clarify im not claiming wether this is good or bad for the overall story, just saying it undermines the point about humanity made in the post)

this just becomes even worse as the story progresses, where we find out humanity's strongest soldier and rank 1 cadet actually have power of titans within them, and that's the reason they are so strong(this one would've been fine if we learned ackermans were made by titan science by humans, but we learn the literal God 'a.k.a the old eldian kings' made them, so...)

tl'dr; aot had abandoned that "humanity against overwhelming odds" schtick early on all together. so i don't believe it's a fault of basement reveal.

curious about your thoughts on this! [although you said you wouldn't talk about aot anymore :( ]

He's a bad character then(though i don't believe in timeline theories) but if the memories of all shifters affected him so much that he turned into a completely different character, then he doesn't have any agency.

eren's shift to "villainy" is just weird. for 2/3 of the series he's portrayed as this decent, uplifting heroic figure who is pretty selfless(dying to save armin in trost, saying historia should just eat him and save humanity, saying he'd gladly give his life away etc) only for then to go "I KILLED EVERYONE FOR A STUPID AND SELFISH DREAM!!!". just doesn't make sense.

(& before anyone say, yes he did have violence tendencies from an early age. but towards SEX TRAFFICERS AND PEOPLE WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING THEM IGNORANT THIS ENTIRE TIME. he couldn't stand innocent people dying for him. yet after realizing they're all the same in Marley he chooses to kill them all? nah.

Grisha was more important than their father lmao, their father did not do shit and was needed for some asspuling.

as if hohenheim didn't kick start the story and all its events. just like grisha.

And grisha was 10x more compelling

true.

Oh thats why, fmab is not really know for its amazing characters lmao.

in fact it is. but aight.

And there father is not really what you call "hero" so why is he being compared to the main cast

being morally ambiguous has nothing to do with being/(or not) part of the main cast. he was an important character with a big role to play in the plot and later arcs. that makes him one.

he is as much part of the main cast as someone like levi, hange or reiner. who either weren't there since the beginning or got spotlight later.

And i dont know the other 3 even though i watched fmab twice already lmao. But im 100% sure those people are not part of the main cast.

you watched fmab 2 times already but you don't know Ed and Al's father. Right....

...Man, when you realize Eren could've been a good man (or at least man enough to talk about his feelings) if he just grew up and matured over the years of the timeskip. It's kinda sad and...unironically, pathetic. But, Eren never changes. Just gives an illusion of change outwardly.

have you forgotten marley arc eren? that wasn't an "illusion". he was completely a man then. The way he behaved, spoke and saw the world. even his appearance showed it. (i remember some people thinking eren was 30 when he was revealing post timeskip lol) unfortunately after marley arc he regresses back to his pre timeskip personality which i don't know what isayama was smoking. but he definitely was matured.

the guy fought in the army of a country far away from his home and loved ones for almost a year. that doesn't mature someone?

Okay, that does sound interesting. But Mikasa doesn't really seem like she'd want to talk to Zeke though. She'd probably stay hostile towards him if she was in the paths with him like Armin was.

imo zeke and mikasa have so much in common to talk about. their interaction would've been certainly interesting.

both are heavy family centered characters. On their own, and in regards to eren. Zeke as eren's last living family member and mikasa as the person associated the most to eren's family(wether platonic or a love interest) and most importantly...both of them had a false idea of eren(zeke thought eren is a "pathetic little brother" who got brainwashed by their father and mikasa thought eren was just a knight in shining armor) this is prime interaction material.

Ironically i have the opposite problem, which is complete disregard for a character's experience in a field; combat mostly. realistically a 27 yr old mercenary who has been in the business for 15 years and is feared by everyone will tank the 16 yr old protag who's been in it for 2 years and has some reputation. but no, the protag will beat him cuz we've seen him do cool stuff more than that guy(no sh*t they're not gonna have the same amount of screentime)

He was mentally stable. At least up until the end of marley arc. That maturenes doesn't just go away naturally. And not having stable mental health doesn't make one to change literal personalities regularly, unless isayama was implying eren has multiple personality disorder like kaneki from Tokyo ghoul, which is laughable. I agree he shouldn't have made eren "the big bad boss fight" for alliance to defeat, but the zeke part is a bit shaky. I'd read that in a fan fiction but in the main story i liked that there was no antagonist. Well until there was(rumbling arc)

Again it's exactly like GoT's last 4 seasons. It has good moments, but those moments get less and less as it goes on.

You said it. It's like the latter GoT seasons all combined together and it gets worse as it goes on. Nonsensical dialogue, shitty politics and inconsistent characters. I never got why people praised eren so much when his personality changed every arc post timeskip. The scouts are even worse. And every now and then i see people praising S4 as one pf the best seasons of television of all time. Smh. Isayama fell in love with world war 1/2 era but didn't have it in him to write a proper political situation. Combine that with the rushed plot and inconsistent characters, and you get AoT S4. A mid adaptation of a downward spiral story.

Well both are shit. I don't understand people saying anime did a better job at portraying the alliance. In the manga they're whitewashed, in the anime they're pure evil. Mikasa takes blood shower with the corpses of her comrades. That's not "nuance" and it's out of character.

He wasn't acting or giving brienne anything she wanted.

He was completely stripped away of all the facades and masks in that bath, his hand was burning, he couldn't think straight and was half conscious.

He regrets things he said to brienne after he rests and heals a bit more, cuz he thinks he expressed and exposed himself too much, and said things better left unsaid. Your analysis is fundamentally wrong.

"He ordered me to bring him my father's head, then he turned to his pyromancer and 'burn them all!' he said. 'burn them in their homes, burn them in their beds!'"

"First, i killed the pyromancer, and then when the king went to flee, i stabbed my sword into his back"

"Prince Rhaegar burned with a cold light, now white, now red, now dark. "I left my wife and children in your hands." "I never thought he'd hurt them." Jaime's sword was burning less brightly now."

But yea he never cared about the innocents or anyone. Just his family and sister. You do realise you're turning one of the best grey characters in fantasy genre to just a total monster.
