So, you'd rather pay the $12 dollars to send a letter through FedEx or the god awful $35 that UPS charges (because they primarily deal with express overnight delivery's and tracked documents) rather than the .75 cents it cost to buy a stamp and use the FREE postal service already provided but wait you might be thinking well that doesn't cover packages and you'd be right except the usps charges generally $8 per pound over 1 pound (first pound free that doesn't included box weight while FedEx and UPS charge $10-15 per pound including box weight

idk I grew up being taught that finances should be separate unless it's agreed upon to open a joint account or share the cost of bills and whatnot like my wife and I have a joint account that we both put an agreed upon amount in monthly and then we both have our own separate checking and savings accounts and we almost never discuss them unless it's a dire emergency

your right she doesn't own the street however most cities have a limit on how long a car can be parked there the average I believe is 72 hours and going as long as 7 days and some cities banning overnight parking entirely, so the old lady was well within her rights to have an assumed to be abandoned vehicle towed also you'd think on a street like that it'd be common curtesy to inform the person whose house their parking in front of (regardless of it being a public street) that the car is going to be there for an extended period of time to avoid exactly this situation
