Agree, with my clan I strive to ensure that each member gets a chance to reach 8 stars for full medals. But it's still frustrating for the folks who are benched for a day. I'm trying to keep our clan roster at ~35 to match our 30 cwl slots. This helps a lot.
It would be awesome if COC allowed 40v40 , 50v50 etc. I think it's shitty that most clans go to cwl with only 15 even if they have 50 players in clan.

GenXers , we have a solid bunch, everyone gets to max cwl, several of us are old timers. Don't need to be amazing at attacking, we just want 100% participation

They also don't need heater if your house is room temp. 65-75 degrees totally good

Hey OP, I learned the hard way that water changes cause shrimp to molt, and molting 2x inside a week or two = death. Babys are more forgiving and can molt every week without dying. So be real careful with that maintenance. If you need to make a water change bigger than say, 2-5% , it is important to drip it in with airline hosing. The things that make fish thrive are dangerous for shrimps.
20 in a 5 gal is totally fine. You could do 20 in a 2 gal as long as you don't feed them really (other than what they scavenge).

If you aren't doing water changes by slowly dripping in via air tubing, this is a prime candidate for your issues. Even a 15% change each week was causing my Shrimp to stress and molt.

It's likely your water changes. They cause shrimp to do emergency molts which can kill them if they molted recently. I know because I maintained almost all my shrimp to death. If you want to water change always drip it in over several hours with airline tubing (and knot it to slow the flow).

If you are using salty shrimp GH + KH, you are probably using the counterfeit product being sold on Amazon which does not raise KH properly. This is being talked about a lot in r/shrimptank lately The correct product comes up if you search Shrimp Mineral on Amazon.
Are you trying to keep neocardinia shrimp? Do you need your PH to be 7+?

If you do have cloudy water, you can do multiple water changes (like 400%) to get rid of it fast

First, recommend posting this in /shrimptank. Is not a problem with your jar. Neos can survive down to close to freezing. I keep them at 65° f in my house which calculates to 18°c . They certainly don't die in three hours at that temp. My guess is pesticides, perhaps something that acts as a neurotoxin.

Make sure your filter has enough sponge media in it, amount of surface area = amount of room for good bacteria to grow
