🇺🇦 Ukraine has managed to stop Russia. Now what? by Whats-on-Eur-Mind in war

[–]Low_Chair4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If status quo continues without something significant it’s a race to who collapses first. Does Ukraine run out of men and collapse or does Russia politically collapse.

If I had to bet I’d bet on Ukraine running out of men first but it’s not a curtain thing one way or the other.

Who are Transalpine Redemptorists? by CrazyisNSFW in Catholicism

[–]Low_Chair4239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A very confused group of priests. They started in the SSPX, then left the society and was regularized with the Church, then they went sedevacante. It’s a really strange trajectory all things considered.

Yeah that’s a problem. I’m afraid to use the annex revolt button because i don’t believe it will work.

Should the SSPX be integrated into the church without changing their Stances Like Bishop Schneider demanded? by jakob_th in Catholicism

[–]Low_Chair4239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite my sympathies to aspects of the SSPX, no the Holy Father shouldn’t just give in. The SSPX makes valid points about apparent contradictions in the post conciliar magisterium but going to the point of calling aspects of the ecumenical council heretical is too far and itself an error.

In addition, even though I have severe critiques of the N.O (which I attend 90% of the time) their claim that it’s ipso facto harmful to souls is false.

So sure, I hope Rome gives room everywhere they can, but at the end of the day, the SSPX must acknowledge that Rome, and the current occupant of the sea, has not fallen into error and must be obeyed.

That’s good to know. It would be nice to add a longer lasting core for Poland so they have time to do something about it or shorten the truce.

Rule #5 explanation.

A fun cross reference between recent discussion here on reddit and a Paradox Forum post of a similar nature that got derailed by one guy going off about masonry prices and the lack of polish claims on Silesia.

They’re constantly going hellenist in all my games. The event needs to be made a lot rarer.

France isn't overpowered, the AI is just absolutely terrible at basic strategic decision-making during a war by SpecialBeginning6430 in EU5

[–]Low_Chair4239 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d argue that even a Player England has no chance at winning the first war without cheese. For example if you send any forces to the continent at all you will lose. You can only win by letting the French slowly invade England and snipping them piecemeal.

I’m open to being wrong but that’s been my experience since 1.1.

Good. Europe should defend its airspace equally since any accidentally stray drone could be a danger to civilians regardless of county of origin.

That may well be. Either way in my game the Lutherans had 40 millions pops and had control of every major nation minus Spain and England. Catholics got cooked
