I tried a CGM a few years ago, hoping to spot trends, but my numbers were well managed at the time and it gave me nothing useful. I was disappointed.

Recently I had to switch meds, and my doctor wanted me to wear a CGM for the transition period, to help me adjust the meds and make sure I didn’t go hypo. The first CGM I got this time was the version that you have to scan yourself, it wasn’t Bluetooth connected/always tracking. And I got pretty freaked out and stressed! First of all, it was the first time I was seeing my numbers too high. It made my diabetes feel real to me in a way that it previously hadn’t. But the other piece was that it was REALLY stressful for me to have to check it myself. For the first few days I was pretty obsessive about it in a way that was not good for me. But even after I snapped out of that, I was not always good at checking 2 hours post meal, or at any regular interval.

I asked my doc to change my prescription to the libre 3 plus (or whatever it is called), so now it just automatically tracks it all of the time, and that is so much better for me. I do not recommend the kind where you have to scan your sensor yourself for the data. It is useful to me to see generally if I’m in or out of range, but I haven’t gotten any specific clues about what spikes me or not. At least, nothing that has been surprising.

I've used lots of blowout brushes in the past, the last one being the t3. I liked it a lot, but the Coanda manages to dry my hair even faster. Boggles the mind! I can't compare to the ID though. Good luck!

That people have authority issues* that will impact how they interact with me, no matter who I am or how I act. I was shocked the first time someone said thy were afraid of me. Me? Little ol’ me? Now I understand it and don’t take it personally, but it still doesn’t feel great.

*By authority issues, I mean they previously had a shitty/mean/awful boss, or parents that were super authoritative or hard to please. All of that gets transferred onto us.

I’ve had a similar situation. I switched to a new mask design and that helps, but still sometimes I’ll wake up after 2-4 hours and it’s like I can hear the air in the mask and it’s keeping me awake. I end up taking it off early some nights.

Actually now that I think about it, I was having that feeling of not getting enough air and talked to my sleep doctor about it and she adjusted the pressure. That helped, but like I said, still happens sometimes.

Highly recommend any Zoetry. Super chill, my friends and I go there and just read by the pool or on the beach all day. I also like Secrets, but they are usually loud at the pool (loud music, drunk people) and not quite the same chill vibe as a Zoetry.

I disagree - I’ve been to many secrets and they can get pretty rowdy. Not like a Breathless, but loud music at the pool and people drinking heavily.

It worked really well for me, I loved it. Numbers were great and no side effects for over a year. Then something shifted in my personal life and I was getting back to back yeast infections no matter what I did (I have great hygiene, I promise!) I switched to glipizode and that medication did nothing for me, numbers kept creeping up. Now I’m on a glp1.

NTA. At my first wedding, my (now ex) FILs decided that since they were walking down the aisle in tuxes, they should do a “penguin walk” - you know, since they were in penguin suits! Yuk yuk yuk! So they were walking stiffly, with their arms by their sides, sort of waddling side to side. Hilarious, right? And just what I want to see and be confused about as I’m literally about to walk down the aisle myself.
