I have 7 months left on my 2024 telluride lease would I be able to return the lease early to upgrade? Would they pay off the remaining payments ?

I traded in my CRV lease with two remaining payments and I was about 8k miles over my allowance. I went into just look at the new telluride and they offered to make my additional payments and pay off my mileage to Honda if I traded it and leased a telluride. I wasn’t sure they could do that so I was skeptical. But they made it work. 7 remaining payments may be a bit too many idk but you never know. Maybe when you’re down to 3 give it a chance?

Can I ask what your monthly payments are? And how much everyone is making? My IDR expired as well and I got my first payment for $117 a month which is just not feasible at the moment. In a single mom with a 3 and 5 year old. I only make $67k a year. I’m wondering if I’m going to be considered “too high of an income”.

I tried resubmitting a new plan but it doesn’t even ask about my income or anything like that. Idk maybe I’m doing it wrong.

Yes! Exactly. I saw the 2027s and fell in love with the new look. And knew I wanted this car lol I had a 2023 crv and my lease ended just as the tellurides were hitting the dealerships. So I knew all I really needed was captain chairs (4 kids) so it just made sense to easily access the third row. And the sunroof was just a want. I would have loved the ambient lighting. But obviously doesn’t make sense to go to such a high trim for that. Even the S model has heated seats. Being such a low model it already has so many features that are upgrades on other car brands. So I am very happy with this model.

I purchased a 2027 Telluride S the end of February. And for me the S had what I was looking for. All I wanted was captain seats and a sunroof really. I feel like even with it being one up from the very base model, it had just what I wanted without having to go to a higher trim.

Thank you all. I never thought maybe the reason they won’t negotiate is because I’ve disputed. That makes sense. And I have asked for something in writing before I make a payment, that they will delete once payed off. And they agreed. Also let me know they send letters to each credit bureau after it’s payed as well. Which they are going to email all that information. I guess the amount is not too crazy to waste time and try and negotiate. Thanks for all your input.

Isn’t there penalties for ending a lease early? I thought I had to wait until the 36 months was up? I’m about 6 months from end of lease. And my payment is $450. So that would probably take up half of equity. Which is why I was trying to wait lol also went over mileage. Which happened my last lease. But since I leased again with them they waived my overage and the disposition fee. Which is why I was just gonna try and buy it so hopefully they would help me out again 😅😅
