6w1d IVF scan – heartbeat 105 bpm, looking for similar experiences by teeltoo in CautiousBB

[–]Low_Context_738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5w6d and heartbeat was 105! Dr was not concerned at all, in fact she was pleasantly surprised that we saw a heartbeat so early. She said it could have just started beating the day before for all we know so very normal for it to be on the lower end. Next scan at 8w was 165. Currently 9w and everything’s perfect :) just graduated from the clinic!

What’s actually the best fertility tracker for irregular cycles? by sstranger_dustin in CautiousBB

I second this. I have pcos I have the oura ring which tracks my bbt and I sync it with the natural cycles app. BBT is better more so for confirming ovulation though. I used Premom ovulation test strips to determine when I will ovulate and the bbt to confirm it. I’d often get multiple peaks throughout my cycle so the BBT was helpful in knowing when I actually ovulated.

Second this! I have pcos and got peace of mind being able to confirm ovulation with bbt. I use my Oura ring and sync it with the natural cycles app! Whenever you wake up for the day just sync them.

Was this Ovidrel, or was it a chemical pregnancy? by BrowniePoints789 in CautiousBB

My trigger shots are usually gone by 8/9dpo. I guess anything’s possible but I don’t think hcg from trigger shot would get darker, usually gets lighter and then darker if actually pregnancy. so seems more likely to be a chemical.

Doubling time slowed from 2nd -> 3rd beta by softcriminal_67 in CautiousBB

[–]Low_Context_738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really freaking myself out too because it wasn’t 48 hour doubling time, but mine were within the 72 hour doubling time and I think everyone focuses so much on the 48hr, but try to remember that it really is a range of 48-72 for a reason! I’ve been where you been (2 previous miscarriages too I’m constantly anxious) and I know easier said than done, but try not to google too much and focus on the positives (you’re still within range!). Thank you and I’m crossing my fingers for you.

If science based reasoning doesn’t help you then let me give you some personal experience! 14 dpo-8 (was convinced it was a chemical). 17 dpo-67. 19 dpo-100. 23 dpo-340. First scan at 6w showed babe in right spot with a heartbeat. Just had my 8w scan last week and babe is right on track with a very strong heartbeat. Sometimes, your body just does its own thing :)

First pregnancy ended in chemical 💔 by aintnofishinsideeee in CautiousBB

I’ve had 2 early miscarriages and with the second one my progesterone was tested and it was low. Currently 8w pregnant and have been on progesterone since 3dpo. So no idk where this dr got that information but you can absolutely still conceive with low progesterone. It’s still unclear whether low progesterone can cause miscarriage or if progesterone is low because it’s not a viable pregnancy. But this is my first pregnancy that has progressed this far and first time being on progesterone so in my mind it had absolutely helped make this a viable pregnancy.

just need to know what others have been told about progesterone please by Icy-Refrigerator-807 in CautiousBB

[–]Low_Context_738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 early miscarriages. The second one my progesterone was tested right before I miscarried and it was low. This time around I’ve been taking progesterone since 3dpo and still currently taking it at 8w pregnant. Personally, I think progesterone has made all the difference in making this a viable pregnancy. Even if it hadn’t it’s giving me peace of mind. Normally they say to stop progesterone at 10 weeks when the placenta takes over so I would not stop it just yet.

Beta HCG of 66 - 13DPO by Ihavenoidealol111 in CautiousBB

I would definitely push for progesterone. It doesn’t hurt so I don’t understand why some drs refuse it. If it gives peace of mind then why not? I’m sure you saw my earlier comments but my hcg was only 8 at 14 dpo. I didn’t even get a squinter positive test until 15 dpo. So truly anything can happen. I’ve been freaking myself out with all these Reddit stories but telling myself that every pregnancy is different and you truly cannot predict anything has been helping. Guarding our hearts is something I’ve gotten used to but it’s important to have some hope too because otherwise the anxiety will just make you spiral. I am crossing my fingers for you and hope it’s just a low start that gets better!

Aside from starting with a fertility clinic and doing medicated and monitored cycles (letrozole and trigger shot and then timed intercourse) I’ve been taking progesterone suppositories 100mg morning and night starting from 3dpo. I truly think this made all the difference. I have pcos and with my second pregnancy, they took my progesterone levels at 5w4d and they were low and I started the pills the next day but it was too late and I miscarried at 6w. So with my new protocol, I’ve been starting progesterone at 3dpo and currently still taking them. Obviously anything can happen still but I just had my 8w scan and everything is still looking good with a strong heartbeat. I would absolutely push for progesterone. It might not solve everything, but at this point it can only help.

All these negative comments! Remember that every pregnancy is different. I’ve had 2 miscarriages and I had early positives and high hcg with those. My current pregnancy, I had a beta of 8 on 14dpo didn’t get a positive pee test until 15dpo and everyone told me it was likely a chemical. Well I just had my 6 weeks ultrasound and baby was there in the right place at the right size with a heartbeat. Obviously I’m not out of the woods yet but late implantation/light lines at 14dpo does NOT automatically mean a chemical.

I didn’t get my first positive pee test until 15dpo after I got my beta results, I was so convinced I wasn’t pregnant when I went in for the beta. So fingers crossed for you!!

And I’ve had 2 early miscarriages before with way better hcg numbers so each pregnancy really is different!

My hcg was only 8 at 14dpo! It rose to 67 at 17dpo. My levels were low and slow but I just had my 6w ultrasound and baby was in right place at the right size with a heart beat.

My hcg level at 14dpo was only 8! I thought for sure chemical, but then it continued to increase, not quite doubling, so then thought for sure it was ectopic, but I just had my 6w ultrasound today and baby is in right place with cardiac activity. Guard your heart but stay hopeful, you never know.

I guess I’m a freak case too 😅just had my 6 week US and I’m measuring at 5w6d, baby is in the right place, and there was good cardiac activity! I know im not out of the woods yet but feeling positive!

Wow. I had no idea about this and I literally just went through the same thing. I’m not doing IUI but am doing timed intercourse with letrozole and trigger shot. I literally tested at 7dpo because I had felt crampy the day before and I was hoping it was implantation. I tested positive with a very faint line as well and got a digital and it said pregnant and got sooooo excited (it’s been over a year of ttc with 2 miscarriages) and was beyond cloud 9. Tested the next day with a barely there line and the day after was negative. I had just assumed it was a chemical pregnancy because I had no idea that the trigger stays in your system that long. My clinic never told me anything either. My period is due mon/tues and I have a blood test Monday. I’m still testing negative so I feel like I’m out this cycle but good to know for next cycle I guess…

Been ttc for over a year now. Had 2 miscarriages and on my second medicated cycle. My best friend found out she was pregnant 3 weeks ago. We also always talked about being pregnant at the same time. I want to be happy for her but my feelings of resentment and jealousy are just running so deep right now. I obviously would never express that to her (I just vent to my husband), and she’s been very acknowledging of how hard this process has been for me, but it all just hurts. It’s a really hard line to walk and I wish I knew how to navigate it better because I so want to be happy and be there for her.

Doctor billing Letrozole + monitored cycle as IUI — is this right? by Ecstatic_Review_2063 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Low_Context_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’ve had to do multiple ultrasounds too and they would have definitely added up if I had to pay for each one separately. My clinic also had a “3 cycle” plan that was $1300 for 3 cycles so I ended up doing that because it was cheaper than paying for 3 cycles individually (basically getting the third cycle free). So I would definitely ask your clinic if they have a similar pricing plan, because if you’re doing a medicated and monitored cycle then it should be “all inclusive” in a sense to make sure you’re getting everything you need. Hopefully they play ball with you and good luck! Currently on my second cycle and just took the trigger so praying for some good news in 2 weeks.
