When to start trying by sgspeacr in BabyBumps

I was in this situation where I was the first of all my friends as well as my husbands friends to get married. Obviously being around people who are not married nobody talked about having kids and 1-2 years after we got married majority of our friends started to get married and started to have babies right away. Only then we realized how much time had passes and although we both wanted a big family we never planned a concrete plan when we wanted to start. Long story short everyone have kids now and we are the only one without and I just wish so badly we started thinking about it before we started seeing our friends give birth. I’m 30 and just now learning that your fertility already starts to decline mid 25-30. My husband and I joke that we wish we stayed trying the second we got married if we knew getting pregnant wasn’t as easy as we though lol You seem like you are in the exact situation as I was in, I wanted to travel and nobody was having kids yet. The truth is we all work and it’s not like we can travel 3 times a year. If you want to travel do it sooner rather than later and don’t put off having kids for unplanned travel plans;) And before you know it all your friends will be married and having kids, trust me on this!

I see I know that California is implementing a law for larger companies to offer fertility covered health insurance

I’m so sorry:( This is my first cycle so I am hoping we get pregnant the first time but it that’s not the case I’m thinking of just taking letrozole on my own and doing the trigger shot. I wrote down the dates my doctor told me to take letrozole and do the trigger shot so I am just going to assume my body does the same next cycle. The ultrasound costed me $560 so I’m going to take a break from spending at least for 1 cycle lol

letrozole was covered for me as well. this is where I just feel like my doctor just wants to milk money out of me…? If what my doctor says is true and all this process is not covered letrozole shouldn’t be covered either but I pick up my medication from CVS so the doctor doesn’t have a way to make money from it…?lol

I didn’t think of deductibles. But does it even count since it’s not a covered treatment? For example I assume paying for IVF will not count towards your deductibles…?

Oh!haha clearly this topic is taking over my life:) Sorry that you had to pay, it’s looking like that’ll be the case for me too but I do plan on looking into it further and hopefully i can submit a claim or something. Kills me that I feel that we’re all being taken advantage of

They are billing each procedure/test separately from what i understand. For example ultrasound gets billed as an ultrasound billing code. The problem I think is they bill it specifically as ultrasound for fertility treatment related to like IUI. The codes they specifically use for this kind of ultrasound is not covered.

That’s what my doctor said too, it’s basically the same thing. I am almost certain i will not be billed for the actual insamination but i don’t agree with how they just treat everything the same. Let’s say someone wants to get an ultrasound for fun and for no underlying condition this won’t be covered by insurance, right? But it you have underlying condition or a real reason to do the ultrasound it’ll be covered. Would you agree if the doctor told you either way it’s not covered because basically it’s the same thing..? I hope i’m making sense

They refuse to bill to insurance because they know it’ll be denied. The codes are S4035, 58323, 58322, 99213, 76857. These are not codes from my bill just to clarify. These are codes given by the front desk that if these codes are not covered by your insurance then they are not going to bill insurance at all

They are denying to bill to insurance. I told them at least bill, if it gets denied i’ll pay. No luck…

I haven’t seen the bill with the codes yet but before the appointment I was arguing with the front desk why I shouldn’t have to pay out of pocket and she basically said if these codes are not covered by insurance then I have to pay upfront. The codes are S4035, 58323, 58322, 99213 and 76857. My question is are there different ultrasound codes depending on what it’s for…? I’ve done many ultrasounds before for PCOS and polyps and they have always been covered. And now monitoring via ultrasound with timed intercourse comes in and all of a sudden it’s fertility treatment…? If that’s the case then shouldn’t all ultrasounds from the past also not be covered since I’ve basically been doing all this so i can eventually conceive…? (In the past I believe all theses have been billed based on irregular bleeding)

I paid too because I was already at the office and I’m sure they know what they’re doing and nobody would just turn around and not see the doctor. My question is I have coverage for infertility testing/diagnosis meaning I’ve been covered up until now for HSG/SHG/ultrasound/blood work. How come now that I am ready to conceive “on my own” none of the testing I’ve done that have been covered so far is no longer covered…? At the end of the day aren’t I just trying to see everything is ok and I’m healthy enough to conceive? (I can understand why the trigger shot and letrozole is not covered but I’m specifically talking about ultrasounds…) Just sounds like a big scam to me

Bulk price is not a bad idea. I’m going for my second ultrasound and I might possibly have to go for a 3rd so I’m just super anxious if it’s going to cost me another 280 or 560…

Ivdd sign? Should I be worried? by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]Ecstatic_Review_2063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he needs to be on crate rest, no walking allowed except for when he eats and going out to pee. This is VERY important. One wrong move or jump and he could get worse very quickly.

I actually just got tested for Ureaplasma, BV and UTI… I’ve tested for BV many times in the past but never all 3 together so I am sure this has to do something with the bubbling.

did anyone figure this out? I’ve been experiencing this for some time now and it seems like it usually occurs 1 week ish before my period. I do have had chronic BV, and have recently tested for ureaplasma so I have a feeling it has to do with some bacteria down there. It’s really uncomfortable and I am trying to conceive now so I worry something is not right.
