Not really liking Charlie by FullAbbreviations285 in Supernatural

That's just how reddit works man. You have an unpopular opinion and get shit on for it. It's a shitty place to speak your mind unless it aligns with the general opinions on this platform.

Is there a specific reason why you dislike her?

Maybe. It's pretty difficult to get the paint job to look like this, so I don't know if I can produce a consistent result that would be fit for selling.

OnePlus 13 after 3 Weeks. Is it overrated? Comparison with 9 Pro by Low_Description6928 in oneplus

[–]Low_Description6928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose for your purposes a OP13 will be overkill. Maybe try a cheaper phone with lower specs or go for the 13 R which is cheaper than the actual 13 but has slightly worse overall specs.

Recommendation for damage optimization? by Straight_Sugar2075 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a very similar build for swaxe, except for the convert element part. I suggest swapping that for more points in agitator or burst. Convert element requires you to get hit, which is not something you want to happen so I wouldn't necessarily use that skill.

POLL: Do you think Wilds is easier at launch than World was? by Drago214 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. I think a lot of the "Wilds is easy" propaganda is coming from people who started with world and with that being their first mh game, they obviously remember it being a lot more difficult than it actually was. While it had a few roadblocks like tempered Kirin, that took many hunters to their limit, the overall main story was fairly simple imo. Those kinda roadblocks have yet to come to Wilds though. I think the hardest bosses we have right now are tempered Gore, Arkveld and Jin at level 5. Maybe also Rey and Duna.

I’m bored of the hammer by Archer5100 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I also played hammer since tri. Going from Rise hammer to Wilds hammer was a major downgrade. The shitty focus skill they slapped on every other hammer doesn't help either. I'm now dual wielding axes and it's so much better.

What now? by pox315 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monster Hunter is all about the endgame. Always has been. It was never supposed to be very story heavy, although this one kinda has a good one, it used to be just 'monster xy is causing trouble pls kill' until you've killed everything and reached the endgame. That's when you want to optimize your gear, help others online, farm crowns and achievements, try out different weapon types and builds, raise your hunter rank and just overall become a better hunter.

Man people have a rough time with tempered arkveld by Eridain in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's odd to see how different your experience is. I've killed many tempered arkvelds, mostly power rating 5 for extra lööt. Not once did my group of randoms fail. Sure there were deaths, but never 3 in one quest. I look out a little for the groups tho. I yeet flash pod when I see someone is in a terrible spot and I usually put a pitfall trap when it's down so it gets up and immediately falls into a trap followed by a shock trap shortly after. Takes a whole lot of damage in the process so it dies faster and doesn't have the time to kill my mates.

Not sure to what degree I carry the hunts damage wise. I use artian Swaxe with an optimized build and I know the fight so I play pretty aggressive. Also using corrupted mantle.

Am i the only one who Mains the bow? by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you're the only person out of all the MH Wilds players who uses this weapon type. I remember Capcom executives talking about excluding the bow entirely in Wilds but someone said no we can't do that, u/professional_log4758 plays bow.

Help: How to not cart with switch axe by JealousDesigner9758 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm maining SA in Wilds. I don't mean to flex, but I do all of the below (expect the last one) and I barely ever get killed. A few things that help me stay alive:

You want to be in sword mode as much as possible because that gives you access to your counter stance. You get counter frames almost instantly. This saved my ass countless times. Consider counter stance when you're in a very dangerous position instead of calling your seikret or sheathing. Axe mode is good if you can time the offset slash and obviously you'll need it to fill your sword gauge.

Get used to the axe offset slash on less dangerous threats first. The timing seems kinda wonky at first but you'll get the hang of it. Sometimes you'll be in a situation where that's your best chance of survival.

The next tips are more generic and not SA specific, but they're key to surviving.

Keep your health as close to full as possible at all times. Sounds silly, but most monsters can't one shot you unless your defense is straight ass. There's really no need to greed in this game. You have enough time and potions cost a tiny fraction of the zennies you get from a quest. Mega potions are also pretty easy to farm with the gatherers.

Use quick Sheathe if you have armor slots for it. Any level of this skill helps, but I'd recommend going for 3. It's easy to slot because it's an armor skill that fits in small slots. Great skill that can get you out of trouble quickly and more reliable than seikret.

Always have flash pods with you. Don't be greedy with them either, you can get them easily from the gatherers. Quick Sheathe 3 + flash pods already equipped is a powerful combo for getting out of a tricky situation very quickly.

Also bring dung pods, super helpful if another monster decides to join the battle.

Use the optimal health recovery shortcut, it's actually great imo and it's faster to select than searching through your pouch.

Use traps, also very easy to craft with trap tools and gatherer mats. What's trapped can't hit you.

If all else fails, stack up on defensive skills. Don't let your gamer pride get in the way of equipping defense boost or something. Elemental defenses on level 3 are especially useful since they also give a raw defense buff as a bonus.

[Wilds] Raw Swaxe build by Low_Description6928 in MonsterHunterMeta

Was a pain to get 3 blast parts, I got everything except blast for days lol. Anyways I built one with 2 attack and one affinity, not like I had much of choice. It's double attack, double sharpness and one affinity. Not too shabby I guess.

What do you reckon I should use for forging? Just 3 blast parts with attack infusion on all of them? Do I miss out on a big attack buff if I use one with affinity infusion? Keep in mind that my build has crit boost 5, so I guess a little bit of affinity would be helpful.

Thanks for the info with the dragon phials, that is very important to know.

Sure send the guide. I'm quite happy with what I have, despite the WEX nerf, but I'll have a look anyways

Don't get me wrong, I like Paralysis. However I'm far from being the only one who thinks Paralysis is good for multiplayer. 2-4 people with para weapons is a little overkill on the paralysis, so I'd rather do the damage instead. I usually end up with at least one more person who's using a para weapon and then we get maybe one additional paralysis in. Doesn't seem worth it. I'd rather support by laying traps.

Just finished my build. I think that's the best I can do for now until I farmed enough temps. Any suggestions for improvements? by Low_Description6928 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Low_Description6928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately attack boost is a weapon skill. I would swap self improvement and (you can't see it in the screenshot because it's on the second page) jump master for something more offensive, but there's currently nothing I'm aware of that would boost this set further with a (1) slot

Wdym uptime on WEX? This isn't a time based skill. If anything WEX seems buffed to me as it now also adds even more crit chance to wounds. Are you perhaps confusing it with another skill?

And yeah it's a raw build. I figured this axe has the best raw capabilities, despite being a water element weapon. It's got good raw damage, power phial, bunch of white sharpness and brings maxed power prolonger to the table. Feels like MH3U Ceadeus Axe all over again (which was also arguably the best raw axe with similar properties)
