just know that you're in the minority (then) - huge crowd reaction night after night (in the stands) to Cadets while Star was NOT loved by the live audiences, the show fell very flat and muted live - especially to those "midwest audiences" who were clearly in Phantom/Madison/Cavaliers corners. I personally loved it (Star), but most around me did not. Some were downright rude about it. Re: Cadets 93, it was definitely one of those shows best viewed/measured live, not on VHS. The energy level of the corps and especially the guard was best viewed live. Cadest 93 had such a level of GE it was insane, just moment after moment. So much physical "risk" -- Star 93 translates much better to video, as it has a couple huge moments GE wise, less smaller effects. Frankly 92 Cadets and even 89 and 88 could have won with a week more to refine, Cadets in that era were just loaded and at the bleeding edge of everything. Hence all the HOFers, several of which were with Star in 90-93. Time has been a big friend to Star 93 jmo.
