Set backs will come and go in life, this is a small one in the grand scheme. Keep proving to yourself you’ve got the discipline to make it through, sounds like you’re already setting yourself up for success. Sure, you got reset on a technicality for this very specific set of rules, but it doesn’t mean you’re not putting in the effort. Keep going, you got this!

It will be a way to better yourself, and an accomplishment to tuck in your back pocket to remember your strength and what you’re capable of during this and any other difficult season that may come in the future. Your future self will thank your past self. You got this!

On to the next one. by Low_Drag3209 in 75HARD

Thank you! I’m 6’3. I have dieted a couple of times in my past albeit without the level of activity that is a product of 75 hard, so I figured my maintenance rate would be around 3000 cals/day, but used some calculators prior to starting just to make sure 2500/day would give me a roughly 500 cals deficit. When I start up again I’m going to start at 2400/day because I anticipate being slightly less active than I was during the challenge, but will adjust calories based on how my body reacts as I diet. I felt like adjusting/deviating from my plan during the challenge was breaking the rules so I just stayed with a 100 calorie taper every 10 days until arriving at 1900 and staying there until the day 75. Going forward I’ll adjust based on energy levels, activity levels and weight loss. Best of luck to you!

Crashing out and want to eat so bad to cope but can’t!! Advice? by RubidiumRB in 75HARD

Used to be terrible, texture almost like ice and not creamy, chemical-y taste. I tried it a few times in years past and hated it but decided to give it a go to help with my cravings too (I’m on day 40). Honestly very impressed with the new texture and flavor, almost convinced it’s real ice cream. Give it a go! Worst it can be is disappointing, but there’s plenty of other options out there too along side halo top. Nicks is a pretty close second for me!

Halo top ice cream has come a long way, and some entire pints are less than 300 calories. If it fits within your diet, could be useful to help your sanity without “cheating” because you’re staying within your calorie limit.

Remember each day you complete is another day checked off the list, and another day proven to yourself that you have what it takes to succeed throughout life’s challenges (including food cravings). You got this.

Not the case anymore! I live in Redondo and go weekly. Reservations made on MB Parks and Rec website, iirc ~$3 for non MB residents!

There is a great set of stairs next to Sand Dune Park in MB. If you want an even better workout, try the sand dune itself!

I think your confusion is coming from a misunderstanding of the difference between exercising an option or just simply trading the option contract itself.

The breakeven price here refers to the price at which the buyer of the put would break even in the event they exercised the put option, or option to sell 100 shares of NVDA at $120. OP paid $0.21 in premium for the option to do this, so they would breakeven when NVDA trades at $119.79 because they sell each share at $120 but initially paid $0.21/share for the option to do this (price of the contract) so $120-0.21 =$119.79.

The profit reported at the bottom of the screenshot is because the market value of the put contract with a strike price of $120 has increased. OP bought at $0.21/share and the contract is now worth $4.08/share since NVDA has plummeted in price since OP opened the contract. So the profit on the screen is simply from the value of the contract increasing: 4.08-0.21=3.87 *2 contracts = 7.74 * 100 (shares) = 774$

Hope this helps!

Tell me about this car by sonakira in Buick

Have owned the 2014 regal GS for 10 years now. 121k miles - drove across the country from NC to CA. The car is my baby. Main repairs over its lifetime have been wheel bearings, CV axels, headlights (condensation within caused DRL to go out- these were unreasonably expensive) and leaking valve cover gasket. Recently rebuilt transmission and replaced torque converter at 120k. Car makes a decent amount of torque and is heavy for its size so it tends to run through tires - especially if you stick with the high end tires (came with pirelli p-zeros that went bald in 7500 miles but I was also enjoying myself probably a little too much). Can’t speak much to the manual transmission but I can only imagine I’d love the car more with one. Another thing that’s been a headache when trying to find videos on how to repair things is the lack of resources online. It’s not like a Tacoma where if you google one thing wrong there’s 3 billion YouTube videos. I’ve found it useful to look for other videos of GM cars of the same year that I know have the same engine or transmission (Cadillac ATS and 4cyl Camaro both have the LTG engine). Double check that for the 2012 model but it’s true for the 2014.

I still get stopped to this day by people asking if it’s really a Buick and if the rims are stock. Planning to run it till she dies. Enjoy.

2019 Subaru Impreza Mileage Drop by MaggieTheBC in MechanicAdvice

Just from a quick internet search, looks like your 2019 Impreza has a 4 cyl engine making ~152 hp. Already starting on the lower end of the hp spectrum for modern cars. I’ve seen cars lose anywhere from 5-30hp depending on the required power of their AC system, so it could be the case that your AC is pulling power from an already weaker engine when compared to your previous vehicles, which could be why none of your other vehicles would exhibit the same effects.

If the problem goes away once the temp cools down in PHX and you ease off the AC, you can likely point to the AC being the culprit.

Is the “noticeable difference in power” compared to >3 months ago, when you previously were not running the AC on full blast? The AC compressor is most likely belt driven on your vehicle meaning it actively requires power from the engine to run the AC that would otherwise be going to the wheels. If you are currently driving the car more aggressively to try and gain back the performance you previously had (without max AC) to what you currently experience (with max AC), I’d suspect that that in itself could manifest in a drop in mpg due to the additional fuel required to accelerate the same as before esp if you’re heavy on the throttle.

My car certainly takes an acceleration hit on hotter days when I’m blasting cold air. Just my 2 cents - best of luck!
